Jonathan and Teresa Kiehl are full-time missionaries in the little Amazonian village of Chontapunta, Ecuador. In 2012, they left America in hopes of easing the suffering of poverty-stricken developing communities by feeding their stomachs with food and their souls with the joy that is born out of sacrificial love. In 2014, their son Ezekiel tragically drowned in their backyard. Instead of being paralyzed and crippled by their loss, the Kiehls saw their son's passing as an experience which would help them more deeply connect with the suffering locals. Out of this pain was born their idea of "The Ezekiel Project" - a community center where the poor children without parental supervision can be fed, have fun, and feel secure in a loving environment. While they completed their first Ezekiel Home in their previous mission post in Peru, they are constructing a new "Ezekiel Project" in their current mission post: Chontapunta, Ecuador.
