I came here after hearing about her dating Timothée and I just want to say that I think this girl is amazing. She is a really bright and funny person and she really knows how to make a conversation (proven by the jimmy Kimmel video.) Also, the black face, yellow face incident happened when she was 15! She said that back then it was her first job as an actor and she was forced to do it. Well I'll answer you how it " affects" other people or the reason why so many critizise that: because for many people it seems to go against the concept of loving yourself, of embracing your physical flaws instead of changing your whole face and body with plastic surgery, it does affect them in regards to what is being idolized around them, it gives them an example of what is being idolized, which might make them frustrated because not all of them have the money to do that, and also the simple fact of respecting your natural face and body maybe a conservative concept but many people tend to protest against it being destroyed.
