Thanks for all the really kind words everyone - really means a lot to this synth geek.
thanks mark
Wow, adding the pic of the modular to the DAW timeline is brilliant! Very cool studio Mark has 😀👍
Fantastic studio. Great vibes.
Yoooo....Mark is a keyboard beast. Incredible studio. Thanks for the video...I wish it was longer.
Great to see someone with a genuine passion for music and gear, that actually uses all the hardware they amass, rather than collecting for the sake of it like some other people do.
No need to get personal!
Wow, what a collection, really enjoyed the entire video. Big thanks to you both for allowing us to peer into this wonderland, very inspiring!
Thanks, great tour! I hope you do more of them.
Super talented guy!
really enjoying this guys vibe.. great to see someone so relaxed and surrounded by equipment that seems to have such a personal relationship with.. really inspirational guy and really cool thanks
Awesome studio and Mark is so talented. Thanks for this wonderful video.
Fantastic Mark, thank you for showing us around
What a great studio!. Many thanks to Mark and Paolo for this video.
Awesome studio and great interview! Like the ergonomics also.
Wow! Such a great studio! I love the sounds of that Memorymoog, it's just pure power haha!
Wow, a MacBeth Elements. Nice!
Que linda nave espacial !! Estúdio maravilhoso !!
Stereo outputs on an analog synth is rad 😎
Stereo leslie setup like the one he has is even more Rad
A Keyboard Womb.... Fantastic!
Thank you and your friend Mark for a Wonderful Video.....
What a nice video. Thanks for sharing.
The sound of the Voyager is too powerful for the audio to handle. This setup is incredible btw, love how everything is just there and ready to go. As I'm lazy and sometimes don't feel like hooking up keyboards.
Fantastic man, fantastic studio!
Wow really interesting stuff, thank you
Wow Harmony Central and a Alesis andromedia. I remember that page with a scroll and the videos from nam.
I remember wait to see new products on video from Harmony. Years ago.
Not a word about the Jupiter 8, Shame on you :-D
Paolo wouldn't do that to you. As stated in another reply the Jupiter 8 belongs to Paolo and was here for repair. It was returned to him after the shoot.
Check out his just released "Via Spaccabellezza "video. Thanks for watching this one.
thanks for a delicious selection of audio gear. I bet those Leslie 147s sound like a couple of monsters in that room. that little slide-out Speck mixer is cool. was that the only mixer in the room?
The Speck is my only mixer handling up to 20 stereo pairs of inputs not including bus and effect returns. Still got maybe 6 spare channels so it's perfect for my needs. Thanks for watching.
The multi mode filter in the CWEJMAN S1 MK2 is not a copy of any other design. It's actually two filters; 2 pole + 4 pole i combination for 12, 24 and 36 dB/octave shape. The Low Pass Filter is very modified ladder with two extra poles for 36 dB and a band pass mode as well.
Yeah, sorry , that's embarrassing, especially to now be corrected by one of my synth developer heroes! I do think I realized it as soon as I said it along with a few other faux pas. Thanks for keeping me honest and all you do.
Thank you!
An open soda can on the keyboard ? Whad'ya thinkin' ! ;-)
Great interview, I knew you had it bad but didn't realize how far you'd taken it.
Actually...Founders All Day IPA! And it's sitting on a reserved piece of real estate for that very purpose on my new custom table. Come on now Andy, would you expect any less from me??? :)Thanks for dropping in on my world of synths- hope all is well and looking forward to some new pup news soon.
Nice studio, like the seeing Droopy and Taz sitting around. Always ask when sone one has a Signature Edition Voyager, what number out of 600 is yours.?
Any comments about the speck as well as the aurora converters? Thanks!
Vero Nice
Ha! I worked on the Amdromeda!
Hey cool- would love to hear more. Hardware? Software? Thanks for watching.
I designed the main hardware (CPU & IO/Memory system and the entire front panel hardware). I also wrote the OS and was the prime software developer for all of the A6's code. Under contract by Alesis. 3 years. In my office. In my garage.
Great studio but that's a lot of analog. It's sad he doesn't have other types of synths, like more digital or virtual or sample based, because all synths are great simply because of what they are, amazing! Every synth has It's charm, you just need to look for it.
That Hammond sound with Leslie's was incredible.
As far as digital goes it's all in the computer. The last real one to go was my Korg Z1 but it just wasn't situated where I could program it comfortably (on top of the XK-3c at the time). I'm a firm believer in using whatever you have to its fullest. Other then us relatively small group of synth aficionados we're not impressing anyone with all this equipment, nor should we be trying too imo. I'm not a collector. It is true however, I don't care for sample playback for programming new sounds, never have. The Wavestation was always the one exception but that's now done in Legacy VST. I love DX7 type stuff- mostly using FM-8 but I grew up on the real stuff. I use Massive, Reaktor, Repro1/5, Diva, and a few select others including those specifically for organ, piano, Rhodes, Wurly ; sample playback can work great for this purpose. I'm not a collector of VSTs either and I have things set up very ergonomically in software as well. Still, I prefer turning knobs but when I'm in the vst mode it's all good. Btw remember the Poly Evolver does sample playback :). Thanks for watching.
Marl should release some music for us to hear.
I was waiting for this Roland Jupiter 8 review behind the Andromeda, but you simply forgot to go it, it seems...?
Doing a Jup / LinnDrum video tonight :)
The Jupiter 8 actually belongs to Paolo. He was there in part to pick it up after I repaired it . We didn't really talk about it but I'm a retired electrical engineer and my other "hobby" is electronics and fixing synths/audio equipment - mostly for beer :). I did get to play with it for a week or so after it came off my bench and it is wonderful. In the past I've only had a couple of opportunities to play one for maybe 15 minutes at a shot. Definitely a fan now. Thanks for watching!
Apologies if this is a stupid question..."Mark Who?"
Err- I'm just Mark,or now apparently Mark Mark:). I'm just a hobbyist and electronics geek - no one you'd ever heard of before. I do go by Markyboard on several of the well known keyboard/synth forums. Thanks for asking and watching.
Thanks, Mark Mark. Great collection.
