    You just demostrated an easy example. But if you have the error: "..cells have expected frequencies lower than 5". Then you can combine variables to overcome the problem. However this is not always possible, I wonder then, what to do?

    in the expected range in chi square test window we have two options, what are its uses ?

      ٍSamar Ahmed Well, the two options depend on what you are wanting to assess. If you want to test if there is an equal amount of subjects between the groups (e.g., males (50%) vs females (50%); or wood (25%) vs coal (25%) vs gas (25%) vs solar (25%)), then you would select all categories equal. But, if you are wanting it test if the groups are not equal then you would select values. However, you would need to specify what percent you are expecting each group to be (e.g., males (60%) vs females (40%); or wood (10%) vs coal (30%) vs gas (45%) vs solar (15%). So like I said it all depends on what you are wanting to test. Hope this helps!
