If you are indebted to any of those illegal loan platforms, and you are afraid of defamatory messages to your contacts.
Please kindly go to settings in your android phone, click on app & notifications. Scroll down to app permission and deny them access to your contacts, sms, photo gallery and storages on your phone, they won't be able to reach out to your contacts anymore or post your pictures.
They would only have your number and have only you to deal with.

All these permissions are not complete until you disable the Bluetooth permission under the app permission it is the area they use to steal information after you must disabled other permissions make sure you deactivate this to have peace of mind

If they have already downloaded your contacts, it won't work. Another method that has worked for some platform is, delete the app, delete all contacts, remove your email. Then login to a fresh mail, insert new sim download the app and give permissions. They would have the fake numbers and you should be fine. Stressful but worth it I think.

I have denied them access to everything on my phone but they keep on sending me messages to make payments else they'd call all contacts on my phone and also put my pictures on social media...... What do I do now pls?

It should work if it's your first day of collecting the loan. From what I heard, they extract data a day before due date or on that very day. Because that's when seem to have cause to remind you of the loan. But don't forget, it's more guaranteed if it's your first loan. For people who are taking loan for the first time, after collecting the loan, they should follow the steps and they will "most likely" be fine.

The easiest way is to cancel your card. With that, they won't have access to auto debit your account again. Also, if you know your account officers, you can request they mandate OTP for any form of online transactions. That will stop it too. Thanks for watching!

But, we can understand they are artificial. In true caller and phone settings there are some security functions. We can use that for this scamers. Deleting or denying permissions instantly should stop them from having access to your data. The major concern now is, on which platform.... Sokoloan? If yes, it won't work. Once u give access, they grab your data before giving loans. So it won't work.

It depends on the loan app. They will definitely have your WhatsApp number but we can't say for sure if they still have your contacts. They obviously won't have access to your device but it's possible they saved some data on their system already. You have to relax till repayment day to know. So stay calm please.

But in the real sense, their app is configured to extract your data. Best thing to do is to block them before repayment day or try not to default. From experience, that's the most secured way as they often extract your details on repayment day or after you default.

They wouldn't have access to your contacts if you blocked permission before they get spooled. Although in most cases, they spool/extract on repayment days or Incase of default. As for Facebook, all you need to do is, go to settings and ensure only your friends can tag you on posts or pictures. You will be fine.
