this is the most underrated promo in the history of professional wrestling. this promo goes under the hype of Elite-CM Punk dispute. CM Punk has earned my respect.
Ace Steel carried that promo. Maybe Punk could've done it himself but Ace Steel made all of this 100% more emotional.

This proves me a lot that Cm Punk is still with AEW after the controversies that happened in All Out. If Punk really care for the fans, he must return.
One of punks best promos yet, with big thanks to ace steel. The if you forgot who you were, tell him Chicago followed by the cm punk chants was amazing, the topic of punk “getting back up” and not being done yet after set backs is a perfect set up for a phenomenal entrance at All Out to “This Fire Burns” even if it’s a one off entrance like “Miseria Cantera” was, it would still be a legendary moment.
He is not in his prime physically but as far as promo is concern he is still awesome,

Ace Steel is a legend lol. The man cut his first promo on national tv, it being one of the best promos in the history of wrestling, literally bit the arguable best wrestler in the world, and was fired in the span of like a week.
That's so emotional promo, respect for CM Punk
Watching this months later I still get goosebumps. This is easily the best segment AEW ever produced. Punk's the last guy that can truly make you feel something. Not even MJF can make you feel like that. AEW needs him back. Wrestling needs him back.

Tony should have booked Starks against MJF when Ricky was super over, but instead Starks to Jericho and fucked it all up. Starks vs MJF would have been a great first successful defense for MJF and would have elevated Ricky Starks if they worked the match and finish right.

Not sure why they had the dynamite match but enjoying the promos so much getting swept up into it. I think dumpster fire is unfair but I can see why you might not like it

(B) Nobody else signed it because Ace grabbed it before anybody else had the opportunity, it was right there on the screen. (C) It's official because Mox agreed to it. (D) He is a fighting champ but it stuck in his craw that Punk was the recognised champ through his entire reign and he's still pissed off about it and he wants to clearly put him in the ground more.

Seriously, since AEW started, the promos have been so emotional, so deep. I mean, so many people in AEW have promos to go down as legends, hell even jungle boy lit up the mic against Christian Cage of all people.
That's one of the percs of not having a script to recite. They have a general idea of what they're gonna say but that's it, promos are formed organically with their own words (and they can swear, which makes it feel more natural). Most wrestlers are not "good actors" in that they can only play their own character, if their character is forced to say something that isn't natural it shows instantly.
(bad side of having no script at all is that when it goes wrong, it goes wrong.)
Thats true, the problem is Khans booking former champs having no story acrs and barely any matches for weeks even months on end.....supposed future stars Hook Danhausen wrestling what once a month if that in 30 second matches....etc he needs booking help period....

Everything that happened after ACE STEEL went to the ring... ABSOLUTE GOOSEBUMPS.... THAT 'CM PUNK' CHANTS was really made me shivered with goosebumps..... FOREVER CM PUNK ❤️❤️No matter how haters are keep criticizing AEW, but they're doing phenomenal job from time to time... I first thought that CM lost the championship but now I understand that we get to see him as the champion again!

I used to be a huge fan of him until the controversy came in a while ago between Punk and AEW. I heard so many times that Punk was simply a kid that only things nothing else than himself. But now with this promo, I am not even sure on who to believe anymore. I hope that all this controversy is false.
@@penguinssos2244 Considering the ending of All Out has been leaked for weeks to have CM Punk regain the title belt at All Out. also, all of this is scripted so they planned this already to play with the Crowds emotions because of the quick lose last week playing on his injury angle. no one can truly know what goes on backstage. Maybe hangman is the greedy one and felt like he could have done better or pitch better to tony and he is upset he got replaced. the EVPs Kenny Omega and the young Bunks reminds me of the Kliq from back in the day Shawn Hunter Hall Nash and Waltman were only in business for themselves and only worked with their buddies. and made sure they were taken care of first

This is set up perfectly for Punk to cheat to win. I'd like for Ace Steel to accompany him to the ring, make it seem inspirational, and then Steel is the one handing him a chair when the ref is down to beat the shit out of Moxley. Let Steel be his ringside lackey for the heel run. (For those that don't know, Steel is already working for AEW in a backstage role so he'll be traveling with them anyway.)

It's going to be shit. There's no way it can even be a believable match if it's anything other than a 30 second squash. Anything other than that after what happened during the title match is simply bad booking and a complete removal of suspension of disbelief. Tony has really fucked the booking on this.
