What will be the on road price of Toyota hyrider ?
Good points covered.Couple of inputs from my side. Not taking any side of Toyota or Suzuki
1. Paint quality of Toyota is better than Suzuki.
2. Resale value is always better of Suzuki than Toyota. From Toyota’s stable only Innova is an exception whose resale is best test all have poor /average resale.
3. Average maint cost of Suzuki will be tad lower over the lifecycle of the vehicle as compared to Toyota. EM60 might attract costumers to Toyota but they might be charged 20-30% more than Suzuki. Folks who don’t want to wait for the long vehicle service might benefit but they have to compromise on the maint cost.
5. Last it’s more of psychological
The name Urban Cruiser Hyrider. It’s borrowed from Toyota’s A class CSUV hence people might confuse for it being an A class CSUV but in reality it’s a B Class SUV.
Suzuki played bit smart in taking the moniker of Grand Vitara , it’s earlier C class SUV. People might feel attracted to it. It’s a very minute but clever use of the name that might outpace Suzuki from Hyrider in its sales overall

There is no such car on sale anymore with name Toyota urban cruiser as it has been discontinued and delisted. Other points make sense.
Toyota cars expect innova had the worst resale value and their sales team is pathetic. When I asked for a basic model of Toyota hyrider model, they outright rejected we won't sell cheap cars like others brwnds buy mid or high end in hyrder sorry we don't sell it.. wtf it happened with 2 Toyota showrooms, no doubt they are fked up.. I went with grand vitara sigma happy with it

I had booked the top end HyRyder Strong Hybrid V variant in October 2022. They tried to sell me a recalled car in February 2023. They called me again for purchase on March 2023 and when I reached the showroom they said they had just sold it to someone else. In May 2023, they sent me a message that the waiting list has increased to 15 months and I can expect my car in January 2024. They later advised me to cancel my booking if I cannot wait that long. So I cancelled my booking.
Even before I booked the car, I had learned from Toyota customers around me that the after-sales service of Toyota is very bad. I had booked it only for the brand name, but I am now glad that I cancelled the booking, after seeing their poor salesmanship.
Grand Vitara is better for small towns and rural areas where Suzuki has more Service networks.
You need to go to NEXA service center and not the ordinary one for grand vitara.

I have booked Grand Vitara due to following reasons
1- However warranty period is shorter as compared to Toyota but as per my running this will not make any big impact for me
2- Resale Value - Suzuki has higher resale value in the Indian Market
3- Service cost - Service cost is cheaper as compared to Toyoto
4- Network - I can connect nearest suzuki dealer in any part of India easily.

Grand vitara's both front & back view looks good especially the tail light with the led line and also the road presence. Toyota should concentrate in their exterior design for greater look

Also it is very important that in Kerala and rest of some states having flood, which may affect this hybrid battery damages. This hybrid battery cost may be approx. 3 to 4 lakhs, it is possible to replace the damage cell only instead of changing complete hybrid battery. Please explain in details?

personally I like maruti front design. And also i still prefer Maruti because of vast service network. They have free pickup and drop of service. And also they still didn't release battery warranty period that doesn't mean there is no warranty. To be frank I never faced issue with maruti car related warranty. they will never have issues.
maruti gives 8y warranty for smart hybrid 12v battery.. same be applicable on this one too
Toyota name itself give you reliability.... They produces best cars thorough out the world.... Toyota cars runs 5-7 lakhs kms easily.. While Suzuki run 2-3 lakhs kms. Here full Hybrid engine is from Toyota

1. You need not to have an active Wi-Fi connection near the vehicle as it is connected to the internet via an inbuilt Universal SIM.
2. When remote starting, the engine will charge the batteries. One of the main purposes of remote ignition is to charge the batteries in between if the vehicle is being parked for a longer period of time.
3. You can see the license validity in "My Toyota" section of Toyota i-Connect app. It will show the current free license validity of 3 years from the date of activation and will be chargeable after that.
4. Up to 5 mobile devices can be connected using the same user ID & password.

Thank you sir. AWD variant will only be available with the Top Model Neo Drive option in manual transmission. There is no other option available for AWD in Hyryder.
Suzuki has one great advantage, if one service centre doesn’t work very well , then u can visit other service centre which would be present max 20 km away 😂😂 , while toyota service center is only present only in few cities

Sir I have few simple points to mention:-
1- Service network of Suzuki (Our Maruti) has no match in India, so no issue of finding service center.
2- Service & maintenance cost of Suzuki much less that's why they are at number one position (market leader).
3- Even engine used in Hyryder V automatic is K15 from Suzuki which is a proven motor, so no use of extra warranty.
4- Both are same products designed and developed by Suzuki, only manufactured by Toyota with some cosmetic variations.
5- Resale value is always better for Suzuki rather than Toyota.
So in my opinion we Indians should go for Suzuki (Our Maruti) for practical aspects and cost factor.

Hi Kunal, if we talk about a diesel compact SUV in a price bracket of 10-13 lacs, I would suggest you to stretch you budget a little bit more and go for Hyundai Creta Diesel. The USP's of Creta are it's fuel economy of >20kmpl, Low NVH level inside cabin just like a petrol engine, great pickup with 250 nm torque. Not very much sure about the durability part but overall market value of the product is great.

Today, I had my second Honda Elevate test drive of the top model, the CVT ZX. However, I must say that it doesn't feel like a true Honda product; it only bears the Honda name. On rough roads, there is excessive cabin noise, especially in the back.
The cabin is spacious enough and can be considered the best in its segment. However, the excessive noise is a major issue. The suspension needs significant improvement compared to market competitors like the Creta and Seltos, as well as accelerator noise while pressing the race pedal. I tried both slow and aggressive driving, but the result was the same. I'm not sure if the test drive model I used had specific issues, but I tried two test drives from different dealerships because the overwhelmingly positive reviews intrigued me.
I have to wonder why the Creta and Seltos have had such peak sales performance. While I need a family vehicle for the long term, I don't want to rely solely on a brand name.
I test drove the Hyryder, Seltos, Creta, Nexon, and Elevate, all in the petrol segment. However, I was disappointed by their price-to-performance ratio. This segment is particularly confusing for buyers in the 15 lakh price range.
In my experience, the Grand Vitara is cheap market garbage for such a premium segment of 15-20 lakhs.
I'm still confused about what to buy. If anyone has any good experiences with a good vehicle under 15 lakhs in May 2024, please let me know; it would be a great help.

That totally depends on the running of your car. If you will use the vehicle on a daily basis and your overall running is high, you should go for Hybrid variant. Otherwise, Neo Drive is the right choice. Also, Hybrid vehicles give more fuel efficiency if you drive mostly in the city and less on the highway unlike neo drive. So, make your decision accordingly.

Sabse value for money model Neo Drive ka base model E-MT hai. Isme aapko sabhi features milenge jo ki top variant mein aate hain. Aapko sirf Music System and Alloy wheels install karwane hain. Pehle is variant ki availability bohot kam hone ki wajah se iski waiting more than one year thi. But this month onwards sabhi Toyota dealers ko kaafi base model diye jaa rahe hain, so aapko ready delivery bhi mil sakti hai.

Hi Ashish, since it will be hard to say about that now, but in Toyota, part availability is never an issue for discontinued products. Like the parts of Corolla & Etios series are still available with dealers.
For getting hybrid warranty, dealership regular maintenance is required or not, only for hybrid battery warranty, in GCC regular service not required for hybrid battery warranty. Rest of the warranty required regular service with dealer ship. Please clarify?

Hi Mr. Iyer, the engine in Hybrid variant is TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) engine which is manufactured by Toyota and in Neo Drive/ Mild Hybrid variants, the engine used is K-Series engine, which is manufactured by Suzuki. Seats are very comfortable in terms of sitting position and leg room.

Hi Sumit, Yes the e-Drive transmission is same in both Hyryder and Grand Vitara in Hybrid models. E-Drive transmission is basically a CVT transmission which has been optimized for Hybrid Variants.

Hi Abhinay, I believe XUV 700 is altogether an upper segment as compared to UC Hyryder. To make it clear, you are getting a bigger engine 2.2L v/s 1.5L in Hyryder. You are getting more than double torque & power in XUV700 v/s Hyryder. Also if we talk about road presence, all the dimensions are better in XUV700 as compared to Hyryder. So, i think you should go ahead with your first choice.

Hi Girish, no such communication about the fuel has been provided by Toyota. As it is a Petrol Hybrid vehicle, so any sort of petrol you can use. That does not effect the performance or health of the vehicle.

Hi Inderjeet Ji. Right now the price has not been revealed, but if we look at the features, the mid variant "G" of Hybrid model in Hyryder is value for money, as it has got sunroof and all required features. There is a difference of just 6 features as compared for Top Model "V".

Hi Anshul, the best bet is to go with S variant AT (Base Model) Neo Drive. If you compare the features with upper variants, it is the most value for money variant in automatic transmission and you get almost every feature in it except for alloy wheels.
There is some design problem in hyrider, as I observed, that ingress through backdoor is not comfortable .Please clarify on this matter.

Bhai sahab kharide to tb jb showroom walley booking le. 1.5 saal ka waiting period bata rahe hain. Indirectly, they want customers to go for top end variant rather than base variant. What's the use of claiming the base model starting from 10+ when practically it's not available. Available Only on Marketing or on Books.
Hi Vipin Ji, next 4 months mein situation kaafi better ho jayegi kyuki safi Toyota dealers ki base variant ki allocation kaafi jyada hai as compared to previous months. Agar aapne kahin book karai hai then talk to the dealership about it.

Hi Siddhartha, we will make a detailed video with working of 4x4 system once we get the vehicle. However, for your information, both these vehicles will be coming with an Intelligent AWD system, which will by default run on 4x2 mode only and whenever the sensors detects any sort of Wheel Spin due to Snow, Sand or Mud, the intelligent AWD system transmits the power to rear wheels as well in a 60:40 ratio where 60% power is shifted to rear wheels.

Hi Deepak, agar aap petrol variant ka base model lene ka plan kar rahe hain then aap ko Grand Vitara prefer karni chahiye, wahan se aap ko jaldi milne ke chances hai as compared to Toyota. Kyunki Toyota mein Hybrid models ki availability jyada hai and Nexa mein petrol variants ki availability. And har Toyota dealership pe petrol base variants ke kaafi orders hain and because of low availability, app ko Toyota se minimum 10-12 months wait karna padega.

Hi Bikram, both the vehicles comes with 2 engine options. Full Hybrid variants of both Hyryder and Grand Vitara comes with 3 cylinder TNGA engine, which is manufactured by Toyota. Mild Hybrid variants of both vehicles comes with K-Series Engine, which is manufactured by Suzuki. You can watch the video through the below link for better undertstanding.
