  • Well, the end is in sight. I have done a multitude of small jobs, from replacing damaged captive nuts on the fairing mounts (not the rubber encapsulated ones) which required heating the brackets and then mounting new nuts, to changing brake pads, removing stickers (takes so dam long) replacing bolts cleaning parts etc etc. It goes to have the FI issue fixed in a couple of days and the last parts from the Hydro Dipper and painter will also be back in a day or so. Then I can register the bike and ride it. I did ride it today on the private sub division roads today and she pulls like a train :-)

Very interested to hear your full group comparison review once you've ridden the ZX12 a bit

I am looking forward to riding it as well. I rode it a little today but have to wait for a few days until it is registered. Although all 3 bikes are of a similar design philosophy, they all achieve it in a noticeably different manner.

Nice! I just got the ZX-12R-A full power model just 2 weeks ago as well, it has the worst low-end torque out of the bikes I've owned (50cc,125cc,250cc,400cc) on top of the bike having a half burnt clutch made it harder to start from a stop but it's been the most fun to ride, the insane acceleration after I finally engage 1st gear is like an adrenaline shot!
have fun and greetings from a Filipino (I'm in Japan though lol)

Hi, I am looking forward to getting it on the roads of Kaybiang. I am sure she is quick. I am used to the acceleration because I have the 14R as well. I just love these not electronic machines, just you and the bike. Bikes like the 12R are designed to thrive on high revs which is another thing I love. I am not a roll on in gear sort of rider, I like dancing on the gear lever. 🙂

@@MichaelZZRrider Hi. I've been following your channel for some time. Last season I bought a 1998 zx11. great machine, this season there was a problem with the 3rd gear, symptoms similar to a worn out drive chain drive sprocket. Do you know anything about the problems that bother the gearboxes in this model?

@@piotrpan6464 Hi mate, sorry to hear about your issues. There is no general problem with the D model gearboxes. The C model had a second gear issue. Your description is a little vague. What exactly happens in 3rd gear?

@@MichaelZZRrider unfortunately the third gear sprocket needs to be replaced

    A lovely looking thing. I bet she’s a beast.
Out of interest, how many miles do you get on a full tank of fuel with the 11? I’m getting about 150 with fairly fast riding.
Good luck with the new machine.
    Cheers

Hi mate, 150 sounds about right. 200 is possible taking it easy. To be honest I dont think I get 150 but saving fuel is not really something I consider Ha! Ha!

I am owner of zzr1200 and I hear 12r consume much fuel. Is that true, as I wont think of it if it spends 10l/100km of normal ride. I usually spend 5 to 6.5 l/100 with zzr1200. Chears

Hi mate, the ZX12R definately uses more fuel than the ZZR, particularly if the rider uses the full performance of the machine.
