Snooze is another jewel from Yoongi, my favorite track from D Day. Woosung is one of my favorite artists. My favorite vocals are on Phase Me, Side Effects and ILYSB. Was so excited when the track list for D Day dropped and I saw Woosung's name as a feature, Yoongi has an excellent ear for amazing vocals.
I love how Yoongi loves bringing his friends who are the same age as him. Like IU, El Capitxn (producer), and now my world is widen to Woosung. Woosung seemed so encouraging and chill while trying to help Yoongi with his process during the documentary. Made me more intrigued to look into him and the Rose. I've heard of them before but I was not in the mental state to explore new music but now that I am more stable. I feel like Yoongi is like here is my friend and oh you are going to love him lol
With IU, I was a fan of hers before BTS so he more reminded me why I fell for her at first listen at the start lol
Yeassse!! My fav song of this fantastic album along with D Day song. Woosung is AMAZING! Specially solo (I suggest you to react to his albums Moth and Genre) and as The Rose indy rock band's vocalist he is great too. Woosung known as well as Sammy and Suga are friends for many years. He was born and raised in California.
Mr Sakamoto was the composer/pianist. Besides being a musician, he was an actor too (I suggest the incredible and emotional movie where he acts with David Bowie - Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence as captain Yonoi and the BEAUTIFUL soundtrack ever he composed for this movie). He won the Oscar for The Last Emperor soundtrack too. 😊
Ps. Woosung and The Rose are loved by many Armys. We know quality when it's there 😊💜
d-day album is such a masterpiece and it breaks my heart that yoongi thought/didnt expect much for it to chart. he put it out there hoping that fans and not fans alike get inspired one way or another. but these kinds of messages are what heal the world. my love for him is overflowing. i wish him all the best in the world. thank you for reacting to the whole album, bryan. looking forward to your upcoming uploads.
I love how he wrote this song specifically for the junior artists at Hybe but it can still speak to nearly everyone who listens to it. If Yoongi hasn't flat out stated that it was for junior artists like TXT and New Jeans, then you might not even realize who the encouragement and support are meant for. He's such a thoughtful and caring person.

Everything SUGA does has meaning. I’m sure the 16x is symbolic. For me, personally, when I first heard it, that repetition was so meaningful. People fear excessive repetition in a song. Artists typically won’t do it for artistic effect. But, BTS, from the beginning was built knowing they were music/artists for healing. Now picture yourself, in the moment, comforting someone. Do you say, “It’s all gonna be okay” one or two times~ no. You say it as many times, as someone needs to hear it. In fact, if you meditate/pray, we repeat phrases/prayers, etc. It’s comforting, encouraging, strengthening. It raises us out of the pit we’re in-whether it’s self encouragement or comforting others. I think in some ways SUGA starts with that to others and then, because he relates emotionally, he’s then, self-calming. Just my feeling from things he’s said and other parts of the song. That comforts me, as well. 🥹🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Definitely my favourite song on the album. As usual with Yoongi/Suga/Agust D, the lyrics are deep and incredibly meaningful. He’s a genius.
Such a comfort song I think a lot of people can relate to. Yoongi is so genuine; him wanting to cheer on his peers and junior idols!! He truly cares for their wellbeing! Such a role model and I really admire him for that!
When I saw the emotion in this particular performance I couldn't help to think of how he produced Eight by IU ft Suga which was about Sulli and how this was just days after Moonbin's funeral. You've done so well Yoongi. RIP Moonbin and Mr Sakamoto
I saw Woo- Sung's interview in LA. He said Suga has been his friend for 4 - 5 years and we are the same age. Woo-Sung is Korean American. He is a great singer songwriter.
"Snooze" is my most fave track in the "D-Day" album. Apart from the encouraging message in the song, it also led me to look deeper into the other 2 artists who contributed to it. Ryuichi Sakamoto was an actor, pianist and Oscar-winning composer of the movie soundtrack to "The Last Emperor" starring John Lone, a movie which he also acted in. He also composed all the movie music for "Little Buddha" starring Keanu Reeves. Another movie tune he is well-known for was called "Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence", which came from a movie he acted in alongside David Bowie. There was a time when I was very into movie soundtrack music, and I had listened to "The Last Emperor" and "Little Buddha" OSTs a lot, but for some reason, it hadn't dawned on me that it was Ryuichi Sakamoto who was behind it, until after Suga had worked with him on "Snooze".
This collab is just so beautiful!! Ryuichi Sakamoto's music and Woosung's vocals are just stunning!!
yes, Suga said in the documentary, that he would be glad to help to juniors in music industry. and as he didnt have anybody who could help him, so he is offering his arm and mentoring to juniors
the repetitive phrase "everything will be ok" incepted to my brain and helps me already. it probably was on purpose to repeat it, that we know that "everything will be ok", that we beleive in ourselves

This song is really special to me because I'm Japanese and I have been listening to Professor Ryuichi Sakamoto's music for more than 40 years. I'm glad Yoongi met him in person last September in Japan. Yoongi knew Professor Sakamoto had terminal cancer before Yoongi met him.
June 2022 professor Sakamoto posted that article titled " How many more times Will I see the Full moon " he said “Since I have made it this far in life, I hope to be able to make music until my last moment, like Bach and Debussy whom I adore.”
Many Japanese and Koreans saw this article and included Yoongi.

Of course, the other artist that "Snooze" made me look into was Woosung. His haunting vocals in this song just wouldn't leave my mind. I found myself wanting to just listen to his voice all day long. That's how I found out that he was the leader of a band called The Rose and that he had also released some solo material. My fave songs off The Rose's latest album "Dual" include "Alive", "You're Beautiful", "Angel" and "Lifeline". I've been enjoying his voice ever since.

When I watched Road to D-day, it was the first time I’d heard this song. I bawled my eyes out. As somebody who’s been made fun of for wanting to be a singer and told that it’s unrealistic due to “sucking at singing,” I’ve been told abusive things by my own parent and it’s worsened my anxiety and self-esteem. This song makes me feel like Yoongi’s hugging me and people like me. His struggles with anxiety and depression remind me that I’m important and that I’m not alone. I can survive the suffocating thoughts and self-criticism. This is why Yoongi and the other members are my biggest role models.

The lyrics make me cry, Mr. Sakamoto's piano is so perfect, and Woosung's voice is felt deeply. I was able to spend Mother's Day in LA @the concert. So I know everyone already told you that Yoongi wrote this song for his juniors, he said he wanted to comfort them how BTS/he wanted to be comforted when they were struggling. It's such a beautiful thought that shows the beauty of his soft heart ❤️ He knows how much reassurance works when someone us going through the struggling phase and might be overthinking every life decision. My heart felt the warmth of Yoongi's love while listening to this song, because this song again is applying on all of us, on the youth, who are in their struggling phase. I love him a lot. Suga wanted just change something in K-pop, just help new idols to break stereotypes, just to open fans' eyes and remind them that idols also are humans and they have their privacy.. he wanted to decrease pressure and prejudice to new idols.
Suga also worked when he was young and he became idol when he was just 18.. he should leave all these prohibited world for several year, in the best years of his youth. He just fights for new generation as an older brother and the someone who has lost his youth years.
I am so so proud of him. He dominated Billboard songwriters' chart for several weeks.. he is musical genius

I started crying three repetitions of 'everything will be alright' in lol. To me it just feels like him saying it anyone who needs to hear it very badly. It's hard to believe it when you tell yourself, so it felt like he knew that and told me instead, repeating it until it would sink in. It means so much when you're in that place.

I enjoyed your reaction to the whole album. I never heard of an artist who wrote a song to comfort other junior artists trying to achieve their dreams. Only BTS or Agust D can do that. The lyrics are raw and beautiful as always. Some of the lyrics came from Agust D's SO FARAWAY which is another beautiful song (I think you haven't reacted to this song yet). I'm glad to hear that you liked Woosong's vocals. He's a vocalist from a Korean indie band the ROSE. I recommend you to listen to She's in The Rain, Beauty and the Beast, and Sour. The translations for this song can be very different, I tried to translate myself and got very different results, so if some sentences sound a bit weird, it can be because of the translation.

As always with BTS and solo albums I find it hard to pick a favourite as they are all so good in different ways, but this one is one of my favourites of the album, one of my favourites from AgustD and favourite songs ever. This is an amazing collab!! Also love Woosungs vocals and the piano in the song and composition and production 🤌😌 Ryuichi Sakomoto composed one of my favourite pieces of piano music ever - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.
