Why does any of this matter. Michael Cohen was hired by Trump as a licensed Professional Attorney. He was supposed to be counsel, not a subordinate. He never told Trump it was illegal to submit this NDA agreement. That was his job, that is why he is licensed for hire. If this NDA was so egregiously illegal why didn't Cohen the lawyer not know? If he DID know it was illegal he should have abjured and submitted the reason to Trump in writing. Cohen submitted all the NDA documents on his own volition and under the liability of his license, then billed Trump for legal expenses. Trump was not the professional licensed lawyer. Cohen was.

True. Now Cohen is testifying that he wants his former client to go to prison for following his legal advice. Problem is, a NDA & payment for it is NOT ILLEGAL. Neither is a reportable campaign donation either. This entire case is a sham. THIS IS ELECTION INTERFERENCE..
The NDA isn't illegal at all. They happen every day in corporate America, for affairs and worse like in cases of sexual harassment in the workplace. Happens probably every day. Paying her hush money was 100% legal which is why the exact crime alleged is that he falsified a record by saying the payment was for legal fees. Which is a misdemeanor and the statute of limitations ran out years ago. But they are using a part of the law that says if the record was falsified to conceal another crime it's a felony and the statute of limitations is longer, the crime they allege he was concealing was "election interference." Completely bogus considering candidates try to manipulate the election to go their way, that's literally what campaigning is all about. And it's also a bogus because the Trump Organization used a software to make these financial records that had a limited number of options to choose from when selecting the category of the payment, you can't enter your own category and have to pick one so it went under "legal expenses" because it was a payment to his lawyer. If there was no record of this payment they would have no case because the Trump Organization is owned by Trump not shareholders, so he can do whatever he wants with the company money, the records are just to keep track. Funny how until the election came, several prosecutors including Alvin Bragg himself thought there was nothing to this case and didn't bring it to trial because they had no crime.
Ignorance is mitigation. That said, NDAs are not illegal.

Reality is none of this matters.. The decision was made as soon as the Jury was picked. You could probably make an argument that it was decided the moment these ridiculous charges were allowed to move forward.
It was decided in 2016 when it was supposed to be “her turn”
I said the same thing before Cohen was cross examined. There is no crime here, but I thought the jurors would still convict just based on levels of TDS in NY. After Cohen? I don't know anymore. Surely these jurors can't send an innocent man to jail out of spite, without a crime, and relying on the word of a guy that lied on the stand.
But there only needs to be 1 or 2 people (out of 12) with just A LITTLE bit of integrity to STOP THE MADNESS.

Your title ask the wrong question. "Did Michael Choen get caught lying..." He was speaking, therefore he was lying. The big question is, did the jury catch his lies, and did his lies have any affect on the jury? Do they make any difference.

The call time starts when the number is dialed. Usually takes at least 10 seconds before the call connects. So that takes it down to at most 1 minute and 26 seconds of actual talk time.

Not to mention, within minutes of him lying about the call, he got caught in an even bigger lie, which nobody is even talking about. He was asked if he ever asked for a pardon, and he said no, then they pulled out his emails showing he asked Trump multiple times for a pardon.

With a 96 second phone call with some taken up discussing the 14 year old how much time was left for Trump and when does Trump ever have a conversation that lasts less than a minute.
Alvin Bragg turned this case down until the White House convinced him to take it. They provided Bragg with help from the DOJ to keep Trump in court an off of the campaign trail.
In my LE agency, if an officer is found to have falsified a report or lied under oath, he/she was immediately terminated, as he is no longer trusted to write an official report or testify in court about events he/she is witness to.
Once credibility is lost, it can never be regained in the eyes of the judiciary....................
