I performed plant tissue culture for the second time a week or so ago, more than half the jars I subcultured showed contamination. I am so disappointed in myself. I'll keep all these instructions in mind when I perform again tomorrow. This was really helpful thank you!

what kind of ethyl alcohol can be used for surface sterilization? should pure solutions of ethyl alcohol be used, or are denatured solutions of ethyl alcohol ok? If denatured solutions are ok what kind of denaturants are ok? thanks
