The Voodoo Cane (Wrestling Promo Gone Hilariously Wrong)

- From the midwest in the 1970s, announcer Bob Luce, manager Mark Manson, and wrestler Pepper Gomez appear in a laughable segment discussing Manson's alleged "voodoo cane". The premise becomes more laughable than originally intended, as things quickly break down to cause one of wrestling's all time most flagrant blooper segments.

I saw this live on WSNS T.V. Chicago...The cane also caused technical difficulties w/ the broadcast itself. It was very funny. They slowly started to lose it, and started laughing.
Pepper Gomez did not look very amused.
@@Handsome_Gary_Kamensack I think he was just holding back the laughter!
We all know it's entertainment where there's no room for mistakes and do overs and these guys are trying their best week after week containing themselves!
@@Handsome_Gary_Kamensack He was so serious because only HE knew what that cane could do. Getting the feeling it was downright lethal.
I drank a few beers with Luce and the guys in the old days at Moose Cholak's Bar in Calumet City. Unforgettable memories
"Moose Cholak's Bar in Calumet City"....that is epic!
I love Pepper trying to hold it together!
It was the cane that made Bob Luce lose it. Gave Bob a voodoo tickle 😂
I loved Bob Luce Wrestling growing up .
I worked at the museum of science and industry (back admission was free) 30 years ago and remember him coming in from time to time. Naturally I said hello and talked a while. A year later he came in with The Crippler Ray Stevens, Ivan Zukov and Nick Bockwinkle. Zukov is as American as apple pie!
@@JuanDiaz-mv1lg Ivan Koloff?
@@JuanDiaz-mv1lguhh, apple pie as it’s known today originated in England. Applie trees aren’t even native to what is presently known to the public as the “united states”.
THATS GOTTA BE CANE
Pepper Gomez does not look very amused.
That cane has got ME.....mad now!
Yup
Yip
LMFAO !!! Damn, I can't stop watching this over and over again. It"s so ridiculously funny .. Hands down, the greatest wrasslin' botch ever, aside from "Shockmaster" decades later. Thank you, Mr. Dombrowski. :)
"Hey, baby. You went too far. If the cane don't come on the show, I don't come on the show"
Have to give it to Pepper, he was the only person, on the whole set, that didn't lose it after that quote.
Everyone's high
"..When they BOTH broke Charter 😂🤭🙃🤪".. Can't get better then that ☝️✌️🙌

Pepper Gomez is trying his hardest not to smile in that first shot
I remember a segment on Glow about a voodoo wand and Tina Moretti doing flips on her own and smashing herself into one of the posts that was holding up the ceiling. She was doing this when her opponent was waving it at her.
This is all on Bob Luce. He said the stupidest thing ever and no one except Pepper could contain their laughter.
I remember the voodoo cane but I don’t remember this interview. Apparently they really did the show live and did not have second takes
Oh my god why has this not been on botchamania for 10 years
Maffew is sleeping, man 🤣😂
Send for the man!
Everybody trying to hold it together, but fail . Lol
The 'Broken One' before Matt Hardy
Love how everyone is cracking up off camera. Tough to keep up the kayfabe sometimes
Obviously, they couldn't afford more than one take.
Ah, Mark Manson, the manager and "Intellectual Advisor" to The Graduates (Angelo Poffo and Ken Dellinger)
About what year was this? This rocks.
Poor Pepper
Absolute gold
Better than raw
Very short lived angle. I loved mark manson as he played very controversial gimmicks/ playing off of Charles Manson and then the voodoo cane. Not sure that this wasn’t contrived ahead of time to make sure to tone down any potential heat- just a few shor years earlier one of the chain gang drew heat to the point of biker gang shooting one of them in a bar ambush. Eddie graham telling Kevin Sullivan to be careful with his satanic gimmicks especially in the religious south. I think Wwa was concerned about this angle and didn’t want it to go too far
man, Javier Bardem hasn't aged a bit
how did you find these
Dig those chairs LOL
Left LOL
Right: GASHVHHESAHHVVFPPHAHPAAA!!!
Me in the middle? dead pan smooth. like jazz baby... like silk panties. like the first drag from the Camel/Marbroll. like aged Scotch.... peting my chin baby. cardboard cut out daddio! fine wine.....

45LadyAkire Who's your Dad?
Mark Manson Kroll
Very cool! I sure hated him growing up but that's because he did his job so well. Sorry to hear of his passing...
that's cool
Wow no way!! That's awesome!!
pepper gomez has a look on his face that says "I'm killing both of them once the camera is off", he was completely furious just sitting in the chair.
Like I say it's tough to keep kayfabe. Pepper is trying.
John Wayne impersonation😅😂P.S. Did he "whack" you?😮
Wtf
How did Pepper Gomez not even crack a smile? That was a crack up, but Bob Luce went for the ridiculous angle
That's the real question..... lol.
