    hello. if i’m mailing a priority mail box , with several items. do i have to find out the weight of the box in order to ship it out?

    • @simplyshare1941
      @simplyshare1941  Před 3 lety +5

      Hi, if you’re not sure the weight I would use the Priority mail flat rate box because flat rate box and envelope are flat rate price regardless of the weight. As long as not over 70lbs. If it fits the items on the box or envelope it will ship.

    Can a post office clerk fill out a priority expess flat rate address label for a customer? Specifically, if the red area on the right is meant for the post office to fill out, and the blue area on the left is for the sender to put their address and where its being sent to can the clerk instead write the address information on the label for the customer in the blue area if the customer ask?

    • @simplyshare1941
      @simplyshare1941  Před 3 lety +2

      No, it has to be filling out by the customer. because if there is something happen to the item got loss or missing the customer will turn back and blame to the clerk. It is not allowed.!

    • @peterbishop9292
      @peterbishop9292 Před 3 lety +2

      @@simplyshare1941 Ok. So you're saying there's absolute zero chance under no circumstances, that a post office clerk would write the address information on the label for a customer even if they asked?
      The reason for my question is because I was expecting some mail from someone and I noticed on the address label where the customer is supposed to write, the addresses is not written in their handwriting. Both sides were filled out by the same person whom I was told was the post office clerk.
      The mail still arrived, but its the label that has me puzzled. Besides the handwriting obviously not being from the person I intended, over in the red area of the label meant for the post office, where the scheduled delivery date box is, instead of a date being there, it has what looks like the letters (Loss Gu and a letter that looks like a - (a or o) and then a - (r) after that, so it looks like the letters "Loss Guor / Guar") written there.
      Do you know what that could mean and why a delivery date wasn't there instead?
      Sorry for the long winded question(s).
      I never sent mail through the post office before so I dont know much about how this stuff works. Whats allowed and whats not, etc.
      Thanks for your help.

      @simplyshare1941  Před 3 lety

      @@peterbishop9292 Hello sorry for the delayed respond. Okay honestly, we were trained and told not to write anything on the item for the customer. I feel bad for those who cannot write which is happen all the time. Because that is liability for the clerk if the item got loss or missing content anything can happen. however, I can suggest to the customer to ask other customer for help. we can help to give the correct address for the customer.
      In your situation, I think the sender asked the clerk and they've known for a while or he/she is regular customer to that Post Office. The clerk should not do that because It is against to the Post Office administration. Also, if something happen to the item he/she is liable to it. Another thing, while she is writing the address it can cause holding the line. Post Office is always have a long long line due to that situation like unprepared, box or envelope unsealed or no label written yet. or don't know what service they chose etc.
      And Yes, on the left side for the Priority mail Express label customer has to filling out with complete and correct address both sender and receiver. on the right side should be Postal use information only.
      Okay, why? it has Loss or Guar word on the label? To let both sender and receiver it won't be guarantee to be there on that day and time due to weather condition. What happen is! When the snow stormed hit and on top of that pandemic some workers are still not back to work yet on and on , everything was delayed and very bad messed happened. All the Priority mail Express completely not guaranteed to the final destination.
      Believed me, everyday two week in the row customers came back and already angry. We did not know the weather it became bad before we sent it out. They are mean and you named it was very bad. Some of them are throwing their receipt on my face and telling me Post Office is horrible.
      As you noticed., all of my videos I always always do mention the addressing portion first because that is a big help for you when you do mailing and shipping using Post Office service. I hope I covered your question and I hope I can help more for my customer though.... be safe out there.

The teller that out put the stamps on only had Forever stamps and a few other stamps, so the stamps basically take up the entire back of the envelope.
