- I forgot to mention that the Priority Mail Flat Rate is inclusive of $50 insurance meanwhile the Priority Mail Express is inclusive of $100 insurance. If you mailed a Priority Mail Express and it was supposed to be delivered at a certain time, let's say, 3 pm and the tracking number will show delivered 5 minutes late or later, you can go back to any Post Office and file for a refund. You will be refunded right away once they verified that it was late than the time specified on the form by the clerk.

Hello. A friend of mine sent me a small parcel via USPS Priority Mail Express International from Annapolis MD to Bulgaria on October 19. The day after, Oct. 20, the USPS tracking system said that this package was at the USPS distribution center in Jamaica NY. Then, no updates for 8 days until Oct. 28, when the tracking system reported that the package had reached the JFK Airport in NY on Oct. 22. Since then, no more updates. Today it is November 1. The Bulgarian Post and Package Radar tracking systems just repeat the updates of USPS tracking. What do you think happened to this package? What should I do?

If your package and box is more than 13 oz, I suggest that you bring it to your local post office and ask the clerk what's the best option for you. Sometimes, its cheaper to mail it out using Priority Flat rate Boxes (if your package is heavy). It all depends on how heavy your box is and where you are sending it to. You can write down the addresses while you are in the Post Office, at least,--- you will have options to choose which would suit your need and budget.

That's when you ship it through a 3rd party. ComBas, Stamps.com, etc. Not when you walk into the USPS retail store.

@@jimklemens5018 commercial based prices are discounted because customers basically pay for subscriptions as well. its good if you have a constant stream of shipments. otherwise, you gonna be keeping paying subscription fees every month while mailing 1 or two packages a month. That would not make sense.

(As of date) The Priority Flat Rate envelope is 2-days approximate (some areas are 3 days, thus it's not guaranteed it gets in 2 days) delivery inclusive of $50 insurance for $7.35. The Priority EXPRESS Flat Rate envelope is the guaranteed service (it gives you the time and day it gets delivered) inclusive of $100 insurance for $25.50. If, let's say, the clerk filled up the form given to you as "12 noontime" guaranteed delivery and the mailman happened to deliver it after 12 noontime, irregardless of the minutes,--- you can go back to any post office and file for a refund of that $25.50

I need to send a document, with an enclosed self addressed return envelope. How do i do it?
Hello. Sorry for the later response. If you need a tracking number for that enclosed self addressed envelope, you can put stamps worth $4.05 (two to 3 pages documents would cost .55 cents + $3.50 certified mail,--- this is your tracking number but it will require you to sign for it when it gets back to you. Ask the post office for the certified mail slip. Stick that slip on top of the enclosed envelope. Take note of the tracking number as shown on that slip) or $4.20 (3 document pages to 5,--- .70 cents + $3.50) otherwise you can purchase a Priority mail stamp ($7.35) and just ask the post office for a prepaid tracking number. If you don't want a tracking number, you can simply put on the stamps on the enclosed envelope (.55 cents for 1-3 pages of documents or .70 cents for 3 to 5 pages) Put that envelope into the envelope that you are sending out. That should be fine.
