- Hey what’s up it’s HiFinn. In this video I finally get to talk about my favorite Flash, Wally West. I am always felt like he was under rated, so I hope that I can give him a little bit more attention. I love making videos about superheroes and the DC universe so I hope this does well and you all want more. But in this video, I talk about why I believe Wally West as The Flash is the perfect superhero. I use for categories to prove it. This video took me a week to make. And I’m not saying on and off for a week I mean a week straight of work. So I hope you like superheroes lol. Anyway, thanks for watching. My favorite moment from Wally West in a comic (that I've read) is from Flash #772-773, in which Heat Wave is diagnosed with cancer. So, believing that life is no longer important, he starts burning things. Wally stops him, then, when Mick is about to kill himself, instead of super speed punching him, just talks to him, gives him hope, and even sets him up with a doctor.
That single moment made Wally my second favorite DC character
Wally West is definitely in my top 5 heroes, and I really hope he’s The Flash in James Gunn’s DCU

Yess! Wally has always been my favorite Flash (maybe even my favorite hero) and it’s sad how little people know about him these days
That’s why I want to see a DCAU Flash movie, with a more comic accurate Zoom-Hunter Zolomon making his debut too.
Idk if someone dated my aunt I'd be pretty inspired to run fast. No but Wally is a legend. I think it's funny when heroes see their adversaries as coworkers or long time friends.
Zoom: he is good but he can be better
More people need to realize how great wally is. So great that they took a lot of what made him great and gave it to Barry in the mainstream media. Really hope we can get a proper wally adaptation in the form of a show or movie
i always say barry is like a reed richards type, and wally's like spiderman, they're both scientists and they both crack jokes, but barry is intelligence first and wally is charm and wit first
I wouldn't say Spider-Man is motivated by vengeance, it's only his kickstart into superheroics. After that his motivation is his sense of responsibility, as we all know. 😅

Wally is by far the best Flash, he’s just the most chill person and with as fast as he is, it makes him even cooler. Please keep making longer videos. I love listening to your videos while I am working.

hey man I've been watching your shorts for awhile, I really liked the long form video and I think you did a good job making it feel different from the average super hero essay, Good Job. I think Spider-Man is the perfect hero, remove writer shenanigans' and I believe he sends one of the best messages of strength coming through perseverance and being a good person.

Controversial opinion: I want Wally West to be The Flash in the DCU. Not just because I want the Justice League films and lineup to be inspired by Grant Morrison’s JLA run, but because Wally West is genuinely a great character. Another reason is that Warner Bros already blew it with Barry Allen. And Ezra Miller almost tarnished Barry’s reputation by being an idiot to people. The Flash someone who aspires to reflect all of his positive qualities and moral values. That was not Miller. On top of that, we had Barry in 9 seasons of his show and brief appearances in a film franchise held together with tape and a sand foundation. We need Wally to shine, and I hope James Gunn delivers.

I will NEVER understand what Geoff Johns was thinking when he wrote Barry back into the story and devalued Wally seriously one of the most annoying moments in comic book history.
It's even more annoying how he wrote genuine good wally stories, including an amazing villian

Listen, I enjoyed reading The Flash: Rebirth because of the elements of Barry always being late while being the fastest man alive. His anxiety, him being Black Flash but I'm not gonna lie, Barry was brought back at the wrong time, just when Wally was starting to get even more interesting with a son and daughter.
3:11 Trust me Wally made a LOT of really bad choices early on in his career, but he learned from them.
Who do you think should play him in the gunnverse if he appears?
It might be cool to get someone we haven't seen before. Giving a new actor a chance could be a perfect representation of the character.

Spider-man isn’t realy vengeful. It’s more or less the great power with great responsibility. After uncle Ben’s killer was found Peter wasn’t vengeful, he was doing good because he had the power to do so. But I’m just a big ass Spider-man nerd and had to say something🤦♂️

what's the difference
Spiderman teaches us that not just great power comes great responsibility, he also teaches us that no matter what happens, you must find hope wherever you can to keep going. Also, you cant save everyone but the least you can do is try. Wally is literally a god, cool but not relatable. The best superhero’s are the one who are humans just like us.
I understand that he isn’t as powerful as Wally (although comics recently have proved him to be stronger than batman) but Night-wing, he is batman if someone had been there for him. He treats his enemies with respect and understanding, his motivation could’ve been vengeance, but he decided for it to be justice for as many people as possible. And come on, the public obviously loves Night-wing

Even after reading Wally west comics I still see him as a rip off of Barry Allen or more accurately a token character but of not just the flash but of Barry Allen pacifically

Barry wasn't really the quippy type, which they later did make him one
Then we have adaptations taking wally suits, villians and story arcs (I know justice league show did the same thing, but it was just barry origin, with barry taking Born to run a wally story in the flash show)
And new 52 was a reboot yeah, but it erased a lot of characters, and I also don't like new 52
