My parents hate me. I'm the one they always get mad at. They have no expectations for me. They love everyone. And once we were at the table and they were picking favorites and no one picked me. And I told them that and my mom laughed and went to her room....she treats my little sister like the favorite alot more now

I tried everything.. did everything.. to make them proud.. but my sister would get all the love without effort.. sometimes i feel dumb that im trying this much.. i wonder why wont they look at me.. they would never scold my sister even when she disrespect me.. i would always offer to accompany my parents and help them in any way.. and i never get anything in return.. but when i ask for small requests they would question it so much.. and i ended up not getting it. My sister wouldnt have to do much effort since she would get anything she asks for. I even went on a diet and was always unhappy of my weight because my mom kept saying i was fat and i would look better skinny.. she would always ask me to stop eating. Whenever they ordered food they wouldnt ask me what i wanted.. and whenever i ask why they never ordered me food they would say its because i was on a diet anyways so they dont bother asking.. i jokingly said "haha save cost, daily food only for 3 people" :) im not trying to leave negative energy.. i just wanted to share a little and release all my sadness.. i hope yall can understand

This brings so much sadness to me. As a kid, my parents would constantly favour my brother, they would sometimes serve dinner to my brother but not me and yelled very nasty words and even death threats. My dad didn’t even show up to my graduation and other high school events. This made me very sad and if I ever have children one day, I will always make sure to treat them both equally bc I know how this feels.

Damn my mom told me 6/5 years ago that she likes my younger brother more than she ever loved me,she randomly told me that ,i didn't even asked her ,those words were so painful to me back then,i used to cry everyday feeling like shit,til this day she likes him more even tho he is yelling at her ,he is mean to her ,he doesnt even care about her ,but she giving him all the attention,she always want to hug him and talks to him ,and when he is in a good mood which is really rare she is like happiest person in the world ,she laughs and even tho he is not funny at all,while with me she is always serious,she never hugged me, i can count on fingers of one hand how many times she hugged me whole this life,when i wanted to talk with her she often says "not now", "you are boring" ,"dont bother me now", "go check what your brother is playing or go to your room" ,etc...so i litterly whole these years havent talk with her like a normal people do ,we just greet say what we will eat and thats all conversation ,except when she talks about negative things, like when i dont do something right for example i cant find some thing and she tells me how stupid i am ,that i will never suceed in life cuz im stupid,etc...she litteraly never said something like that to my brother but me ,like why ? Why ,i dont do anything bad,i always listen and do everything that she says,clean house,make food for my lazy brother when she is at work,throw trash etc... While my brother plays game whole day and dont do anything at all but only yelling at her and stuff ,when she buys something like cake or chocolate ,she only asks my brother if he wants ,she doesnt care about me at all. My brother also have dad (he is to me step dad) so they both love him the same ,and my stepdad(his dad) and me are really distanced because we dont know what to talk about and he is naturally cold person except to those people he has closer contact like mom and my brother ,and i never had real dad in my life and i didnt even lived with my mom i only come here 3 months every year to visit them cuz they live in another country ,so i live whole my life with my granny and she is the best and like my real mom.... damn bro i am glad im an adult now so im not sensitive like before ,so i dont fcking care anymore i litterly dont give shit at all i just wrote this cuz im bored and also to share my story btw sorry for my bad english

The gifts part is very relatable, BUT instead of 1, my parents bought alot (like 4-7 in total just for me and my brother) and i have 2-3 and my brother has the rest
This has been me my entire life, My siblings are athletic and competitive and I just stay out of the way. I'm the only one who does dishes, trash and other chores and my hobby is video games and theater instead of sports. My mom has missed most of my theater performances but she religiously goes to softball with my sister and i've been ignored my whole life.

I'm glad the parents of the older girl favourite her for SOMETHING. My parents always chose my brother over me, whether it was shopping, going to movies, helping with computers, or even organising, which is my favourite thing to do. My birthday falls on Jan 2 and my parents didn't celebrate it, because they were tired from the new year and said they would bring me a cake and let me get a friend from a different neighborhood to our house on my brothers birthday, which is Feb 15. On his birthday, he declined that i would get anything cuz he wanted all the attention. He is older but that also means he's stronger than me. So when he hits me it hurts, when i fight back however it barely hurts him but he just starts calling my mom and she calls me a asshole and when i try calling her to help me, she tells me to stop being a baby and never scolds him. My grades are also much better than his, I got a 97% and my brother got a 76%. My heart goes out to anyone who is experiencing being a less favourite child.💗

As an adult i can confirm but in my case i was small from all of my siblings they were loved cared and their wish was fulfilled they would get new clothes twice a week and i got clothes once a month they even skipped my birthday because my elder sister wanted to go out with her friends i was treated like i was no one my elder brother's and sister's always bully me and if i complain i would get scolded or beated they always leave me home on trips or thanks givin or any festivals because they say that i am a shame the only person who cared about me was my grandma and i thank her for every thing

I have a half sister and brother they're my dad's favorite and my lil brother is my mom & dad's favorite both sides of my Grandparents they're fav are my siblings. My friends they have their own favorites also not any single of them choose me. So Where will I place myself?

As an older child in the family. I always get treated like trash, my parents love my baby nephew more than me and give him kisses and worse is, my nephew is my mom's favorite grandson and i'm crying and my mom always think that i'm jealous, selfish, moron, and asshole it shows that my mom loved my nephew more than me. Pls parents, love your child equally and don't show the other child favoritism.
I know a lot of our elders say what are parents are doing is for the best, but that’s not always true. If they were actually treating us like this for the best, then we wouldn’t feel depressed, stressed or sad.

Feel ko rin yan, Yung parang pinangak kalang para itrato na stranger ng sarili mong magulang. Kahit man lang tanongin kalang kung okay kalang ba maghapon or ano man ang ginawa mo wala pa. Kahit man lang tawagin para sabay kumain hindi pa nila magawa. Pati narin pag weekends di man sila mag laan ng oras para sa lahat ng family kasi may isang pabor sa kanila. This has been me my entire life, My siblings are athletic and competitive and I just stay out of the way. I'm the only one who does dishes, trash and other chores and my hobby is video games and theater instead of sports. My mom has missed most of my theater performances but she religiously goes to softball with my sister and i've been ignored my whole life.

I'm glad the parents of the older girl favourite her for SOMETHING. My parents always chose my brother over me, whether it was shopping, going to movies, helping with computers, or even organising, which is my favourite thing to do. My birthday falls on Jan 2 and my parents didn't celebrate it, because they were tired from the new year and said they would bring me a cake and let me get a friend from a different neighborhood to our house on my brothers birthday, which is Feb 15. On his birthday, he declined that i would get anything cuz he wanted all the attention. He is older but that also means he's stronger than me. So when he hits me it hurts, when i fight back however it barely hurts him but he just starts calling my mom and she calls me a asshole and when i try calling her to help me, she tells me to stop being a baby and never scolds him. My grades are also much better than his, I got a 97% and my brother got a 76%. My heart goes out to anyone who is experiencing being a less favourite child.💗

As an adult i can confirm but in my case i was small from all of my siblings they were loved cared and their wish was fulfilled they would get new clothes twice a week and i got clothes once a month they even skipped my birthday because my elder sister wanted to go out with her friends i was treated like i was no one my elder brother's and sister's always bully me and if i complain i would get scolded or beated they always leave me home on trips or thanks givin or any festivals because they say that i am a shame the only person who cared about me was my grandma and i thank her for every thing

it's usually the younger one that gets treated partially but different for my family. they love the older one who is so lazy (seriously she doesn't even touch her books) and always slap me because I came a little late for prayer time. she can skip school whenever she wants even though she spends most of her day scrolling and i have to have like 3 symptoms.
