Why Does Tyler Perry Keep Telling Black Women To Settle??

  • Tyler Perry was on the Keep It Positive, Sweetie podcast and yet again BW are being preached to about their supposedly “high standards”. BW are often told to settle but there never seems to be a conversation about why BW are being told to settle so much. Why are BM never the ones being scolded in these conversations? Let’s talk about it!

    Women should NEVER settle. One of my sisters settled unwittingly when she was 18. Her life and the life of her kids is so unbearably difficult. She can't get sick because she's the provider. She can't be down because she's the protector. This big ninja is just in her house doing whatever he wants. This is no way to live. It's hell, torment and damnation for choosing to love someone beyond the logic of everyday life considerations and consequences for not choosing well. It's hell. CAUTION:Those who enter here can't return.

Women carry most of the mental, emotional, and domestic load in a household even when they work full time. Marriages end because women are overwhelmed being everything in their household. I told myself a long time ago I wouldn’t carry the financial load of a household. It’s too much and because I had that standard my fiancé and I know I work but he is the primary breadwinner and I have expectations of him to fulfill that role. @@smbgirlygirl3437 who is the say that he would remain in that situation? Also, what about BW who are in the similar situations desiring to date Brothers who got money? Why should a BM with money settle for a BW that have the means to contribute but want someone to pay $400 for a hair style that only last for a short period of time?

    • @boris-xf2lb
      @boris-xf2lb Před 8 měsíci

      @@smbgirlygirl3437 i respectfully disagree! Successful Menin general not just BM, do not normally go after women who make the same as themselves ie., most romance movies show the Rich White male settle for the server, housekeeper and etc. in addition to, BW need to talk to White Female Doctors, you would be surprised that they too have settle with Men who make less than them, because they are aware that Men need to feel powerful in a relationship therefore the IG models are the way to go especially here in ATL. As far as Gold Diggers being mostly Non BLk is subjective. Hence, my reference to IG models.
      BW need to grow up from the race thing! Actually do the research themselves to find out that they would not be only ones in the similar as any other woman with money!
      At the end of the day, both parties are Grown! Like TP said “If” you are ok with a Man who could only afford the light bill but provides in other ways, then let it be!
      Just like you dont want a Man who can only contribute to one bill, same applies to BW who expect their lifestyles to be handed to them but can only afford to do the same

    Girl! Tyler Perry... be quiet, telling Black women this mess. If he can only pay the light bill and I pay EVERYTHING ELSE? Come on! And did he talk about how soooooo many Black women are ALREADY doing this...no matter how much they make. I've seen this relationship dynamic over and over again, in many Black women's cases. SMH. And I think the problem comes in because many Black women are deciding not to take that path for their life and they are calling BS.

    Tyler Perry is a successful black man. Can’t he invest in black men? Start a mentorship program that pairs black youth up with black professionals so more black men can get the community support and road map they need to break the cycle of generational poverty?
    If throwing shade at black women was going to improve the lives of black men, surely all y’all would be billionaires by now.
