The Analogue 3D is a brand new N64 system coming in 2024, so let's talk positives and negatives. Cameo: cameo.com/rgt_85 Twitter: / rgt_85 Facebook: / rgt85
for me it was the early to mid 90's because in 1993 I was 18 years old and being young regardless of your struggles can be a great time for most people!@@sierrakobold6896
I was in my early 20s in the 90s and use to spend $$ on games since I barely had bills 😂 life was great back then ! Too bad I sold all my consoles and games 😢
If there was a new console it would make sense of a mini Nintendo 64, mini gamecube and mini Wii and Wii U to come out. They are fantastic collectors edition items for retro gaming fans. It would enhance the mini console collection with mini nes and mini SNES consoles.
Like I explain on previous comment. They want "Limited" quality due fact is that they can easily earn more money through scalpings. The scalpers are their own people. Once they get it, they can list on eBay and once it sells, half money will go to these employees pocket and half goes to their company Analogue. They make deal with each other. There is no way normal customers can able get in website and preorder all of them that fast.
A few years ago I had a french N64 modded for RGB signal which I then put the internals in a jungle green shell with an added expansion pack and specialty RGB cables. Playing that on an old CRT TV, the picture was amazing. I've never seen an N64 game look so good. I sold it along with most of my gaming collection but I still have my original N64 (my first console) and games, so this interests me a lot
Was really considering that but I haven't heard it was being produced yet. And preorders have now to get purchased on eBay for double the price. Wish Analogue had a competitor.
Another analogue FOMO product? No thanks. They can keep their (albeit well designed) garbage bot buying website products. I'll just continue to use scalers like the retrotink and OG hardware.
Yeah, I have a ton of nostalgia for the N64. It was the first system I bought with my own money, some of my favorite games are on that system. That said, I dug the ol girl out a few months back to show my son the majesty of the N64 and I gotta say, some of the games don't hold up well by today's standards. We still had a blast playing games like Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 which are timeless. But when we fired up Goldeneye for that sweet, sweet screen peeking multiplayer, it was terrible (we still had fun though, lol)! The version of the game on Xbox is far superior. I say all that to say, If I wanna play a N64 game, I will play it on N64 unless a better version exists.
Most of the single player games are so unique and theres really nothing like them that they still hold up amazing. Star Fox 64 is still an S-Tier game if it came out today. It's the toughest playing the multiplayer stuff like Smash Bros and such that just have more modern(and better) iterations.
Can't deny the accuracy benefits of FPGA, but the Mupen64PlusNext emulation core for RetroArch offers plenty of flexibility to allow great accuracy and modern-day benefits with almost the entire N64 library.
I wonder how the Analogue 3D would compare to Mupen64Plus-Next in RetroArch. I'd be pleasantly surprised if this thing is capable of rendering 4x the original resolution with little to no frame drops. If all it does is upscale 240p to the highest integer, I wouldn't fool with it.
At first I was excited about the N64 clone system. But since it’s analog there’s no point getting excited, regardless how much money I have the system is going to sell out in two seconds if not sooner.
Analog ain't getting a dime from me. I've seen enough. However, Winback: Covert Operations had me only using inverted layout all the way up until last year 😂 SO COOL to see it pop up on this video 😊
My everdrive will mate nicely with that (NSO expansion pack is what prompted me to purchase it). Also looking forward to the 8bitdo controllers, especially with the MisterFPGA core coming along nicely
I bought a everdrive 64 for my Nintendo 64 because the one retro shop in my city charges crackhead prices for old video games. Old as in Atari 2600 to Dreamcast.
I have no patience to fight other people for Analogue products. The Pocket looks cool, but I refuse to buy it unless/until I can go online, place an order for standard MSRP, and receive the product within a week. That’s my basic expectation for a competent online business in 2023.
Would a product like this come with the blessing of Nintendo? I would think coordination with Nintendo would be invaluable because it would avoid having to reverse engineer everything.
Been trying to get a pocket for a year on their store. Finally I broke down and bought one yesterday off a scalper for 100 more cause I had no faith in getting one from them. Like I said a whole year. I will say I am extremely happy with the pocket. The quality is amazing
This will come off as an analog fanboy and to be fair I do own an NT mini noir the super Nintendo console and a pocket. But I don't think there is anyone who pre-ordered a pocket and does not have it yet. They, in this same series of announcements, literally gave the timeline for the duo. They also gave a road map for everything else. You can complain about shipping costs and such. But I don't think they've ever not delivered on product.
A N64 mini from Nintendo would have sold like hot cakes. It would have been such easy money for Nintendo. They could have included like 13 good games and it would have printed money.
The question is if the games are rendered in 4K or are they upscaled 240p to 4k which is welcomed, but not preferred. PC N64 emulation can render the games at higher resolutions making the games look super sharp and not a pixelated mess. Since the FPGA Mister can only render N64 games at 240p, I'd say just get a Mister now since it can FPGA emulate a ton of other consoles upscaled to 1080p. It would be nice if it rendered at 4K and not 240p to 4K, if 4K render is the case I'm totally buying one.
Well, there was no 4K in the early 2000s, so you’ll always have to upscale the N64 motherboard’s output signal. Even if you tap it out with an HDMI-kit.
I don't think that will happen. I'm 90 percent sure you will get upscaled 4k over real 4k. It doesn't make sense on the company side. They're not going to buy an expensive GPU in every console sold. It just doesn't make sense as a company. More cost going in to sell it. And if the price is too high it won't sell, now it's wasted money. Most likely you will get upscaled 4k. Just use windows and play in true 4k.
I would not be surprised one bit if the game renders at its native resolution and the 4k output is only adding crt filters to the 240p/480i image, etc.
I got the email on this earlier. This is what I was waiting for from Analogue. Super excited for this. I just hope scalpers don't ruin it for everyone.
Yeah will be getting one provided the prices are not too insane. I can understand the frustration with analogue but personally I have had no issues buying my day 1 Mega SG, the Super NT from their final run, or a translucent pocket.
I would love a hd 3ds. It is a system that you can hardly emulate perfectly because the 2 screens. Also, some of us built a physical library because the eshop was closing
@@poopikins Hm...that's not out of the question; there's no screen, no optical drive, and they're unlikely to pack in a controller. I'd be happier to pay 200. 😁
Sounds like they are like Limited Run games, I'm still waiting for my TMNT Shredder's Revenge and they have released an Anniversary Edition of the game....smh
I have a MegaSG and I love it. It’s a great console. But their consoles are harder and harder to get ahold of. Luckily I was able to get my order for that in with the company not second hand on eBay.
It’s really hard, bc I really want this, but I am also a regular person with a regular schedule and a regular income. Why do I get the impression this is something that will be placed out of my reach bc of this?
Well it would be insanely stupid if they make an n64 console and charge 400 for it. If they keep it in the 50-80 dollar range. I think everyone would love that
I think the concept of limited edition consoles, that has potential. I still want that solid gold nes that I first saw on unbox therapy. The problem is their execution, and organization skills. I would have canceled my pre-order after the first few months of silence 🤣
Top 5 Most Wanted Minis- 1- N64 (gotta have 25-30 games w/2 controllers)- I'd pay $300 for this 2- SNES 2 (if Sega did 2 Genesis versions, so can Nintendo & hopefully upwards of 30 games rather than 21 on the 1st) 3- Dreamcast- same as N64. I'd pay $300 4- Saturn 5- Sega Neptune (which was in development to be a Genesis/32X hybrid but not released). They could include 25-30 Genesis games, 10-15 32X & maybe another handful of Sega CD games like on the Genesis 2
It will be gone in a fraction of a second, while scalpers will be listing on eBay for 3x or 4x the price. I don’t support that, and I won’t be wasting my time trying to get one.
Saturn is more likely. GameCube is still pretty saturated or obtainable plus fpga limitations are being hit with the n64. I've given up on analog. They can announce whatever. I don't understand why they don't mass produce their products. I guess they don't like money.
I've been waiting for the Analogue Pocket (Game Boy) to be in stock so I can buy it but it's never in stock.

Analogue tweeted out today, after the Analogue 3D announcement, that the Analogue Duo and the pocket adapters are shipping before end of year 2023.
