Amazing to see just how much respect there is for Miyazaki from his fellow artists.
This film is perhaps one of Miyazaki's most adult films, and yet it's one of the hardest 'sells' to any audience, mainly cause it's concept - "A WWI veteran pilot turned into a pig," just sounds so stupid and childish, but if you just give it a chance, you'd see it's some of his best work.
I remeber seeing this series on TMC I feel asleep to this movie so relaxing
Man that takes me back, we recorded it on a VCR cassete

Yeah, that's something i really miss about those times. I would turn on the TV in the late hours to find a movie you wouldn't watch on your own accord in a million years. Since nothing else is on you decide to watch it. If you're lucky enough to find a true gem, you watch it until you become drowsy to the charm of the movie. That's something I miss about having a TV, falling asleep to those kind of shows.
