- In January 2006, Turner Classic Movies ran a month-long tribute to the animated films of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Here, Pixar's John Lasseter introduces TCM's presentation of Spirited Away.
- Krátké a kreslené filmy
You can tell Lasseter is genuinely a huge fan of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. It's great someone like that oversaw the english dubs and western distribution of the Ghibli films rather than someone who was just looking to make a buck off them.
For those who remember, Toonami on Cartoon Network did something exactly like this. It's actually because TCM did this that Toonami did this too.
Too bad they don't air things on TV anymore. GKids and Fathom Events are doing this
Cartoon Network is where I first watched Spirited Away.
Love spirited away! Its not just one of the best animated movies, its one of the best movies ever!
I knew I wasn't crazy when TCM aired Spirited Away
Everybody's favorite Miyazaki film, and while it ain't my favorite, I'm just fine with that, it's well deserved and hard to argue against.
which is ur favorite?
mine is kiki
+Skimaskkass - mine would go to Nausicaä, love that movie
Princess Mononoke is mine lol
God I remembered this happened
At this point, you can say that Spirited Away is worthless and utterly pathetic. Nobody cares about Spirited Away anymore, especially Disney and Pixar. Also, there's absolutely nothing to recommend or commend about Spirited Away because the film violates several principles found in God's Word the bible.
austin small You my friend are an Idiot how do you even come to such an conclusion? Did you even watch the Film?
The first time I've heard of Spirited Away is through a Toonami ad. Later, I've seen snippets of the film. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I should have known better than to watch a film that embraces spiritism. Thankfully, I have no plans to watch Spirited Away ever again.
Nothing I say is any type of religious propaganda, what I say is based strictly on bible principles. For example, since the bible principles found in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 strongly condemns spiritism and the acknowledgment of any other god except for Jehovah, then there is nothing to commend or recommend about Spirited Away. Besides, the real reason Spirited Away "won" it's Oscar is because the audience mistakenly though that the film would create perfect harmony between traditional animation and computer animation. Of course, as it turned out, Spirited Away failed to leave behind any long lasting impression.
The point of the entire conversation is that there is nothing to commend or recommend about Spirited Away because the film violates several principles found in God's Word the bible. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I should have known better than to watch a film that embraces spiritism. Besides, the principles found in Ecclesiastes 1:11 and 2:16 could never be so truthful when applied to Spirited Away. Nobody in the western world cares about Spirited Away anymore. Besides, Spirited Away's "victory" at the 2003 Academy Awards is essentially pathetic.
I was never being be a troll to anyone. The point of this entire conversation was emphasis two major points. 1: There is nothing to commend or recommend about Spirited Away because the film violates several principles found in God's Word the bible. 2: When you take good look around, you can clearly see that Spirited Away failed to leave behind any long lasting impression.
