I'm a 71 kg female, my best deadlift is 150 kg. I'm considered the strongest deadlifter in my CrossFit gym. And Olivia puts that over her head... CRAZY.
Doing Crossfit definitely gave me an appreciation as to what these olympians are about. The numbers are insane. Even if you are "enhanced" I don't understand how their spines don't just fold under the pressure.
I am so happy to see Olivia and Hampton doing so great. Kate Vibert also fought like hell but unfortunately was not able to qualify. Was also bittersweet to see Tian Tao not go to one last Olympics. It was an exciting competition
I was lucky enough to be in the room for the 73kgA session. The Rahmat v Rizki v Shi Zhiyong battle was insane. i'd highly recommend going to watch Rizki's reaction after finding out he was going to the Olympics - made me cry!
I am old enough to recall seeing Oly weightlifting on prime time TV - ABC Wide World of Sports in the 70s. When introduced to cross fit I fell back in love with it and really realized the athleticism it takes (and my lifts stink) - thanks for hyping this sport!!! I could watch these videos all day long. Legend.
Truly enjoyed your comments on weightlifting. The emphasis on what these weights feel like from the floor or just out of the rack are really important for legends coming up to understand. These lifters are word class for a reason!!!
Great video! Thanks for giving love to Olympic weightlifting. The World cup had some great sessions with the 73 and the 89 being the best! Also, the way you explained the qualification was on point!!! This was the hardest oly qualification for those athletes! Can't wait for Paris!!!
I really enjoyed this format Craig! I’ve been working for a regular customer all week whose britains most successful weightlifter, you’ve given me some good talking points for tomorrow.
It's beautiful to see athletes who have sacrificed everything to improve themselves in such a narrow sport, gone through various ups and downs, and then do such things!
Brother all of theses lifters on you put in this video are savages. However there are many others you left out. My personal favorite is Meso Hassona. He injured himself in the training hall at this event. He does barbell complexes with 210kg and last year attempted 231kg. You also forgot Li Huanhua of china. Tian Tao's teammate. Great video. Loved it. Go Olivia!!! Shes on her way to gold at the olympics. Cant wait to see that.
Haven't watched you for awhile but this one piqued my interest because my son is a national youth weightlifter for Australia. I watched all the sessions you talked about in your video and more.
That was sad as he kissed the weights and just stood on the stage for a couple of moments longer to absorb it one last time. You could see the moment he realized its over, let the kids have fun.
I was at Crossfit Dwala ( in Marietta GA) for several years and Hamptons mom was one of my coaches. It’s crazy to remember when he could barely lift the bar compared to now. Tripp (his dad) is a freaking strong dude so it makes scene Hamp would be also.
This whole video is basically me talking to my mates about weightlifting… If I had any mates that would listen to me talk about weightlifting for 20mins… I don’t, but I can live vicariously through this video at least… “WOCAO!” 😄
love hoe u put that 225 at the end to show he was capable of making that lift. i think if he made it his legacy would have shot up even more instantly. and the hype that moment... would give all watching, a heart attack.
I learned two things in this video, 1) weightlifting selection rules for the Olympics are dumb. How can a county not be allowed to enter someone in each weight class? Imagine if track and field only allowed a country to enter 3 events??. 2) your special effects skills at the beginning of the video were on-point! I would not be more impressed if you told me that you create all of your special effects using an Etch-A-Sketch while blindfolded!
More OL coverage on the channel is needed! Good stuff.
Agreed 👍
100% what a great vlog this was
This might be Craig’s best video. His enthusiasm for weightlifting was on full display

You need to do a viewing party for the lifting at the Olympics.
Between you and Sika i'll watch it all!

Loved this vibe from you Craig 🎉

LOVED this review! Please cover more weightlifting!!!
Super cool format and commentary!
We'll need an update for the Supers. Great video, never too many weightlifting hype videos. The World Cup was such a great competition.
Omg great vlog and now you have me fired up for the olympics which wasnt even on my radar. LEGEND. Thank you
Subscribed for talking about WL. This competitions was nuts.
Great video Craig 👍🏽
Weightlifting is the BEST. Thanks for the video!
Late to the party, but loved this. Especially how much happier you sound compared to your last video.

Looking forward to minimalism!🙌🥳
This is the best explanation of oly weightlifting competitions!
Way funny commentary Craig
Cool video
Cool video. Enjoyed it.
Great editing 👏
I ❤ you even more for giving Olympic Weightlifting the ❤ it deserves!!!
Great editing, i had the same feeling watching those lifts 😂 that meme is on point.
LEgend - this video just made my day :) thank you for giving me this smile...
Loved it.
It's beautiful to see athletes who have sacrificed everything to improve themselves in such a narrow sport, gone through various ups and downs, and then do such things!
Great Content love the Oly lifts 😀weightlifting is cool
Rahmat is still likely to be going to the Olympics, it'll be "smarter" for them to do that since he consistently has a higher total.
Great OLY lifting content
As someone who doesn’t really follow Olympic Weightlifting other than in CrossFit, this was hugely entertaining! Well done legend !
Love this! Weightlifting is cool and we are all weak.

Rahmat’s pull looks ridiculously slow. Really like it.
I'm on team Hamp the Champ for the olympics
your edits of memes crack me up
Been a great event to watch and will likely be way more exciting than the Olympics
Tian Tao also announced his retirement from international competition shortly after coming off stage on the weekend
That was sad as he kissed the weights and just stood on the stage for a couple of moments longer to absorb it one last time. You could see the moment he realized its over, let the kids have fun.

So are we getting CrossFit Games/Weightlifting Olympics coverage this August? Almost the same dates 😂
Gigachad not being featured is an absolute travesty
Hi Craig, any idea where I can get a Rouge Echo bike?
Way to throw that flat earth meme in there 😂🌎
This whole video is basically me talking to my mates about weightlifting… If I had any mates that would listen to me talk about weightlifting for 20mins… I don’t, but I can live vicariously through this video at least… “WOCAO!” 😄
Haha, and we are weak 😂 It was great comp, but same time feels wierd that olympics will not have no where near the best lifters there 😢
I have learned I have to lift a small car over my head😅. Respect
Weighting is cool.
Weight lifting IS COOL and yeah, we are all weak. 😂😅
geil!
Great review
Most natty american

Great vid.
Cap your wearing????
I actually can front rack 225kg and I’m 83kg 😮😮
1:03 these are not the world championships! World Champs are later this year in December. This is just a world cup!
World Cup😂 yes that’s my bad 🫣, damn
Really cool video thanks
No Sleeves Reeves!!!!
She's an Olympic gold contender and a professional - this isn't a surprise
It's impressive no matter how much she has trained..
@@zachjudge5885but acting like it's a shock compared to a non pro male lifter is reductive
We can all just say shes on gear to cope... Right?
Unreal video. Hooked from start to finish. That’s entertainment
I am waiting for an arm or something to break. This is from someone who does not know anything of weight lifting 😊
Wow those rules are stupid. We should see the best in the world at the Olympics - its the pinnacle.
How sick is our sport tho
So you crop my video 😢 of Olivia Reeves
