I couldn't agree more with you on rifle balance. I run an MPA chassis and they sell weight kits as well. First of all, they are about 12 weeks on backorder, second, they are pretty expensive so I created my own weight kit with flat bar lead weights. Fitted them snugly and fastened with silicone. Kind of hokey but it works well when you're on a budget. Hopefully I'll be able to afford and acquire a weight kit for my chassis in the near future. Love your videos, keep up the great work!!!

Man, ek like hierdie explanation. Gister my seun laat skiet 2 skote met n SKS en op 30 yards het die twee bullet holes mekaar geraak. Hy het oor n steel bar geskiet en geweer goed gebalenseer, twee sniper holes op die papier gesit.

The giveaway sounds awesome...too bad I'm not in the RSA. That's OK though since I have Vortex scopes on most of my rifles and they are clear enough to use as a spotting scope out to several hundred yards/meters.
It's a lovely looking rifle and for precision shooting I would go for an modular rifle I00%, But something about the Wooden Stock for hunting is my want to go to..

I’m a big fan of your videos, for real. I had a quick question. In your course do you do a step by step on where to buy stuff and how to set up a precision rifle. Like a very dumb down version of it. I go onto MDT’s website a lot but I guess I’m stupid because I’m not even sure where to start. I want to build one like what you have but I just get really confused. I almost would need a link reference as in, if you want this rifle here is the links to all the parts. Do you do that in the course?
I would like to see a video you shooting an unbalanced rifle vs a balanced rifle. To see the recoil management and to see if there's an accuracy difference also. Keep up the great videos Piet.
The point is, a balanced rifle is steadier.

where would you balance it if you were to shoot it off a bipod on a bench? like a normal person going to the range casually, not competing.

How does balancing out a rifle that isnt in a chasis like this one and rather a more traditional one?
Wood: drill behind butcap insert lead balls w silicone.
Plasic: paste weights with silicone inside e foam filler after.
Balancing with SD and clip on night vision is much harder

I'm not trying to knit pick here, but... if you're going to go to the trouble of precision balancing your rifle... wouldn't you want to balance it with a half full magazine? I mean, full will add weight behind the fulcrum, and if you account for that, as the magazine gets close to empty, the balance point is going to move forward some. So split the difference between full and empty mag, and balance it with a half full mag?

Wow.. a 13 minute commercial for making a rifle heavier... Unbelievable... Pay a ton for a light weight chassis.. pay a ton for a carbon fiber barrel.. THEN pay extra FOR WEIGHTS TO PUT ON YOUR RIFLE...
Sir you missed the point of this video. No person is shooting a carbon fiber barrel on a match rifle. This is not a hunting rifle, do some more digging on my channel, you have much to learn.
