  • My almost first sauna story. Remember that this were my thoughts when I first arrived in Finland. My views have changed so much since then☺️

The steam sauna often is called Turkish sauna and really is not traditional to Finns, only the regular (electric, wood) or smoke sauna is traditional. Smoke sauna has the fire in the middle and a hole in the ceiling, so you are in the same room (they usually are round) as the smoke. Smoke saunas are very much rarer.
In public swimming halls, one big problem with swimming in chlorinated water and then going with swimsuit on into a hot sauna is that the chlorine when evaporating is seriously unhealthy (read: poisonous, why you always should rinse with cold water if washing something with chlorine) if inhaled.

Is this guy always trolling you? Why does he always find the need to neat pick on the most absolutely irrelevant things/compared to the actual video content🧐😕

Well, at first I was like"what's happening" but then I got used to it. Social media platforms, you just get to see it all. People are just different and express themselves in different ways😊

Since you said it's Okay, to make some fun of you: what makes you think you are black?
How much makeup you wear, since you don't look anything close to blackness. So you obviously are using it to describe some ethnicity or cultural background.
And don't even try to talk me into believing in different human races, I don't believe in such mostly political pseudoscientific nonsense.
And telling me, that I am white, that doesn't fly either. Perhaps sometimes have been red as tomato, as you kindly reminded, but I have learned my lessons.😉

    • @carthiekoivari

I don't think I am black, that is what society thinks really, am brown.....all black people are brown just in different shades of brown. There is no one who is white....it's also a shade of brown....very very light brown. I don't put so much makeup and I have videos where I wear no makeup at all. My make up is actually sometimes darker than my skin😂😂.
We are one race...... With different cultures.... different shades of brown. However I don't quite know what question you want me to answer. I don't quite follow. Please rephrase.

Why I think I am black😂😂😂😂great question....my answer now God, geographic location.....I just found myself like this. What are you white?

@@carthiekoivari if you would call your self brown or even coloured, it would be reasonable. But then again, we all have some pigment expect those rare albinos.
I am not albino, so not truly white.
Nigerians have a name Oyinbo, which translates to "peeled skin” or “skinless”. That doesn't sound very nice, to painful, so perhaps being called white is less insulting.
What do you call me in swahili, a Mzungu, wanderer?
Well, I do take daily walks, so perhaps it could make sense 😉
Much more sense than being called white.

@@carthiekoivari you actually answered better that I expected. My question was intentionally open for interpretations.
So you are using Black/White labels etc. as a common convention and we both agree that it is not true description of reality. Perhaps you notice, I don't like it, but have to tolerate since I can't change it.

    • @carthiekoivari
      @carthiekoivari  Před 3 lety

😂😂😂😂yes we do call you muzungu. As for albino, it's just the skin not being able to produce enough pigment or melanin....but they also are not white. White is snow, am yet to see someone that white....black is charcoal, am yet to see someone that black. One maybe close to white or black but close and is are different things. I do not like calling people white, same as I don't like to use the term black but would Caucasian be any better, I don't think so. We put too much meaning behind colour I think.
