Ernie Haase is one of my favorite tenor/lead singers!!!
I am 62 years old and I have been listening to the Cathedrals since I was a little girl. My daddy was a bass singer in several Gospel groups and The Cathedrals was his favorite group and George his favorite singer. I have listened to them for so many years and I never get tired of listening to them. Their my favorite group also.
52, music business major (1996, Southern Miss). My Dad was part of two quartets "the Country Church Group', and the "Gospel Pathways ". Dad is a retired music pastor, due to survival of a WIdowmaker stroke. My earliest exposure to Roger Bennett and George, was 1977. I was 6. Love this group. I miss Roger. He influenced my own piano sound. Beautiful style he had, and when George let him sing, there were two tenors, not just Ernie!!

George Younce from Patterson, North Carolina was one of the great bass singers in gospel music.
George was the GOAT, as the kids say, now. Greatest of all Time! His clarity at E2, was Crazy!!!!

@@LeanoSamwinga I did. It's undeniably good but I still like this one better. There's something about Rosie's voice that I just don't like. It "sticks out" in a way that I find unpleasant while this is harmony.

I love when Ernie just opens up. I've listened to him sing it at different points in his career and with different people and he just keeps getting better. Love you Ernie.
I saw this group in the late 80s along with the Rex Nelon singers. Took my 3 children who were pre teen and teen. They still talk about that. I doubt this young singer was with the group at that time. 😊😮

Why would you say that Ernie is stuck on himself. U are so far off in ur thinking he believes t.in God He is A Christian and he is proud of it and he doesn't care u knows it. Jawana Uselton I have followed and studied him for a little while now, because I loved his singing, and I didn't want to support something that was not of God. What I found out was that while he may be flashy, but he is just expressing his joy in the Lord differently than some people. His heart is in the right place. I have talked to some people that have met him in person and he is the real thing.
