Welcome to the official Laver Cup CZcams channel. Laver Cup Vancouver 2023 runs from September 22-24 at Rogers Arena. The tournament takes place for the sixth time and features some of the best players in the world. Björn Borg captains Team Europe, consisting of Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Hubert Hurkacz, Gael Monfils, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Arthur Fils. John McEnroe captains Team World, consisting of Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Francisco Cerundolo and Ben Shelton. Team Europe’s vice captain is Thomas Enqvist and Team World’s vice captain is Patrick McEnroe. Team World are the reigning champions after winning at London 2022.

I like Andrey's passion in Laver cup, passion in every match, his support and kindness, which he showed to his teammates, how he wears his heart in his sleeve, he put everything into matches and try to help his teammates as much as he can. 🎾💗
Maybe it is to early to say it, but I think that Andrey is growing into a Legend, inspiration for us teenagers, for kids, for many people throughout the world, he is trying to be kind, honest, humble, class and, in my opinion, he has got very good and kind heart. 💗
Rublev always very symathic and engaged guy, he can transfer his love to the sport to the audience

They're all hot. They're young, fit, elite athletes. Fils, Shelton, Fritz, Ruby, FAA, Cerundolo, & Paul were my favs. Fokina looked too angry/tense, but if he were nice, sure.

Not quite this year. Always tough making the event's debut and also first time being a leading player for the team. I don't think he fared as well as he could've in unchartered territory. But he started to play better in the final title-deciding doubles match which was promising. Hopefully the taste of experience on debut will prepare him better for next time, perhaps next year.
This was not his debut. He played in 2021. He just had a really shit team this year lol
He played in '21 & was the MVP of that edition.. This time round, the team was okay but not cohesive & Andrey basically carried the team spirit on his own

The tighter curl doesn't lend itself to the casual tossing and playful tussling of wavy or straight hair that just does what you want. Historically, there remains discrimination against coarser, ethic hair. As a result there's pressure and indeed a whole hair industry devoted to the straightening & lightening of darker, curly hair to fit Western standards of beauty. So, playing with it, even with good intentions, counteracts the hard work black people put into maintaining their hair as a way to combat racist stereotypes & discrimination.
