Welcome to the official Laver Cup CZcams channel. Laver Cup Vancouver 2023 runs from September 22-24 at Rogers Arena. The tournament takes place for the sixth time and features some of the best players in the world. Björn Borg captains Team Europe, consisting of Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Hubert Hurkacz, Gael Monfils, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Arthur Fils. John McEnroe captains Team World, consisting of Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Francisco Cerundolo and Ben Shelton. Team Europe’s vice captain is Thomas Enqvist and Team World’s vice captain is Patrick McEnroe. Team World are the reigning champions after winning at London 2022.

But ... for clarification purposes and a little bit of information:
The country who invaded Ukraine for over a year now is where Andrey Rublev came from. ( Not even worth mentioning the name, sorry 🤔 ).
That's why his country is not mentioned in any tournaments after the invasion of Ukraine.

Hurkacz is not the top Polish player in history. Maybe male player. The top is Iga Swiatek (I don't have a Polish keyboard to type the name properly)
The European team does not have the best players in the world (Djokovic, Alcaraz, Medvedev, Rune, Sinner, Tsitsipas, Zverev) while the rest of the world team gathered the best players from the rest of the world... this competition makes no sense.

Wow the selection of team Europe sucks.Considering that its hard courts, exept Andrey & Hubi and 50/50 on Ruud( i think his form on fast courts this year was awful, but maybe, just maybe he will find in him last year's Casper?🤷♂️ We'll see). But Fils,Fokina & Monfils? I have a feeling that somebody wants that the Team World get a W.
