I may have said this in the past, but it cannot be overstated. Your reviews are doing a massive service to the HiFi community. I feel your reviews are honest, accurate, very informative. Great depth about the product. Reviewing speakers with a competent front end is the only way to give people an accurate assessment. Years of experience will always trump what people think they know. Great job guys.

Masterful review. It’s not delivered with the flash of other reviewers, but this one is comprehensive and detailed from many aspects. Much appreciated! 👍👌

GR in a rare analysis says this speaker is excellent as is-no upgrade necessary!

This was suggested to me by the CZcams algorithm based on what I had been researching online. The description of “transparency” was excellent as well as the character of the BRX’s presentation in general. And the summation at the end, particularly the comparison to the KEF speakers, was an informed opinion that really struck at “what are you (the buyer) looking for in speakers such as these? “.
Years ago I played this audiophile game. Speakers, amps, preamp, cd player, interconnects, speaker wire, power cords, room treatments. A dizzying array of components to achieve the perfect sound.
Thanks Tom, in this example the KEF speakers look to be the sensible choice.

Hey Tom I highly appreciate your expert views on reasonably priced gear. Probably you can get more engagement with shorter and a bit faster paced videos. I really hope you will be successful here and we get more content. Thanks.

I own these speakers, and always considered them somewhat bass shy, despite reviewers who laud their low bass response. Mine seem to go lower than 80hz, but nowhere near what their specs say (typical of the brand) still a very good speaker in many respects

Vertical dispertion / “compression” ,,,,the BRX must be placed on a relative high 32” / 80 cm stand according to Sandy Gross ;)

Think the limiting in height could be due to the limited vertical dispersion of EMT tweeters , but they have much better horizontal dispersion.

Thanks Tom, I'm looking for stand mounts but leaning towards the Arendal 1723 S THX bookshelf due to home theater dynamic requirements. These are very interesting and I appreciate your thorough review 🙂

    Tom,
    Beautiful analysis of the BRX.
Will you please follow up with an analytic study of the speakers. For example box ring spectrograms to judge box damping. And non linear (frequency and level dependant) distortion. Is their any chance of doing a tear down of the speaker to understand what drivers they use, and what kind of crossover distortion is present. For example measurements on the dielectric absorption factor at the zero crossover that causes non linearity on low level signals, and crossover inductor B-H hysterisis induced non linearities at high signal levels. Lastly, Transient response behaviour with square wave input, knowing that the fft transform of a perfect square wave is a spectra with copious high frequency content.

Yeah, that's the key word "They Think " Not You . Your point of view is only real to You, Not reality you just don't agree with him which is fine
