That sure is a balcony full of such a gorgeous variety of plants! It's like a botanical garden! Very nice. Those hoyas are almost succulent-like. Like others have said, dry the soil before watering. Those leaves may even take if you put them in soil (like African violets). Nice place to chill during Covid.

Your balcony is a mood, I would love to just chill there early morning with a cup of tea! Currently having my morning tea and wishing I was there. Also don't overwater the hoyas, they love the humidity, mist them if you want, but they're succulent-like so they store a lot of the water in their leaves. They will definitely thrive in that setting, just less water for the roots. You should do ASMR videos of just chilling in your balcony, I'll watch that lol. Subscribed and waiting for the ASMR videos.

jam For our climate, care for a few species such as calatheas and begonias are completely different. I think care also varies based on soil medium, water quality, and our living spaces. The best thing to do is understand where each species come from and try to replicate those conditions in our homes, using whatever means/creativity we have. Also the plant history is important too... Ive seen nurseries that water their sansevierias and zz plants every day...

Very nice balcony. At last I know I'm not the only one struggling with spider mites on my alocasias. I had crazy spidermites outbreak on balcony garden which is under controlled now. Good to know I have to keep and eye out for spidermites everyone now and them. I just use very diluted dishwashing liquid spray. Seems to work.

If I'm not mistaken. I saw some leca (semi hydro) for growing medium. Could you do a tutorial or some information about semi hydro. The needs especially in Jakarta. Love the plants, so healthy and beautiful!

Your balcony is goals for me! 😍 My bedroom looks like a miniaturised version of it but I one day hope to have a home with a balcony that I can fill with plants like that too. 😁 You've inspired me to start getting hoyas. I wasn't a fan of them but I think they'll complement my pothos collection as I can hang them and leave my philodendrons and alocasias on the table.

I'm a little jealous of your monstera, i got mine as big as your first one, but all the leaves fell of due to root rot 😑. I was able to bring it back to life, now i have a single new leaf, no fenestrations at all but I'll take it. 😂 Can you share the potting mix you're using for monstera?

I was thinking about raising tropical plants in a tropical environment and all the options that gives you. I live where it is winter half the year and there is risk of frost and temps in the forties and fifties Fahrenheit for another quarter of the year. Sunlight and warmth are rare commodities! Not sure if someone mentioned this earlier but the yellow flower plant you grew from seed is a "Canna Lily". Generally grown from tubers.
