“It started out fairly innocently-with Bill simply hiding the bike on the set one day, then returning it with a chuckle when I fumed and demanded it so I could pedal to the commissary for lunch. But from there it escalated, as obsessions do: Next thing I knew, Bill enlisted the help of the cameraman to hoist it up on the ropes, so that it hung overhead from our soundstage ceiling.
One might think this was going a little too far; ah, but Bill was just getting warmed up. On different days, my poor bike wound up chained to a fire hydrant, then in Bill’s trailer, beneath the watchful eye of one of his most fiercest Dobermans.
In frustration, I took the ultimate step: I locked the damned bike in my Buick, and parked the car next to the soundstage.
Bill, of course, had the Buick towed.”

I saw this in person - part of Creation Convention in Sacramento 12/6/91. Went after seeing the premiere of Star Trek VI. If I recall correctly, the movie was supposed to premiere on 12/13/91, but for some reason, was moved up to 12/6/91. Shatner and Nimoy had been booked for this appearance and to their credit, honored their commitment - I was sure that they were supposed to be in Hollywood instead.

These 2 are a like a well-oiled machine! I had no idea Leonard was so funny! I loved this. The thing is, though, Leonard was the only person who seemed to like Bill! ... the ONLY ONE! I've watched several interviews of other cast-mates and he was an arrogant pain in the arse! I love Leonard!
No wonder Leonard got mad at Wm . who was always hogging the attention. Still funny. Love pranks.

@@anna_ros_47 I believe it was because he already told him no but Shatner insisted and ended up doing it without his consent. I get it, friends should respect one another's decision and it's completely Nimoy's choice to either accept his apology or not.

Shatner is a bit like Kirk, plays to win, breaks the rules. Finally when Nimoy locked his bike in his car, Shatner couldn't get in so towed the whole car away!
I don’t really like Star Trek, like at all. But Leonard Nimoy is one of my favourite people, reminds me a lot of my grandfather
He should have just bought a tube of BB's and everyday sneak off and put one in each of the tube caps so they depress the nozzle and slowly deflate the tires.
