Your work day will be, unlike your school day, result of your own design and drive and Star Trek becomes more than just an hour of escape. It can have as much influence on your life as you’d like. And hopefully it will be in a positive way. If you get a chance a recommend you watch the video of Patrick Stewart announcing his return to playing Picard. The writers and Nimoy had not fully developed the Mr. Spock character yet. But once they did, Star Trek and Mr. Spock will live on forever. Soon all of the Star Trek video will be used to create flawless computer generated original cast members. The original Star Trek television program will pick up exactly where it left off with all the original cast. Each character will appear and behave exactly as the original characters. Same voices, same quirks, same facial expressions, same speaking and walking cadences, same personality and all the other mannerisms as that of the original characters. They will be indistinguishable from the original actors in every way. Imitation will be the ultimate act of admiration and respect. When that day comes Star Trek fans will have to make sure that writers, directors and producers adher to original characteristics and not interject any personal notions. I viewed a new Star Trek episode in which a Captain Kirk's son character is created and, of course the politically correct and all inclusive writer made the character gay. In the episode Kirk's son serves aboard the Enterprise with his father. The son is to be married to another crew-man and Captain Kirk is beaming with joy as if he is the mother. Several scenes of Kirk's son are shown with him in bed with his male crewman fiance passionately kissing. I wanted to vomit. So far from the original Star Trek and its intended theme that to call it a new Star Trek is disgusting. Star Trek tackled a lot of taboos in the 1960's but homosexuality was and never would have been accepted or even considered. The new version was a total travesty and I'll never watch another video by the creators of that nasty sick garbage again.

    • @waltonsimons12
      @waltonsimons12 Před 6 lety +14

      +WARPHEAD You don't know what you're talking about. Star Trek has been "politically correct" since its inception. That's part of the core appeal of the franchise-- the notion that there's hope for our species, that humanity can learn to rise above the bullshit and the bigotry.

    • @michaelcartwright8570
      @michaelcartwright8570 Před 6 lety +2

      waltonsimons12 it looks like that the majority has spoken against your sexually orientated preference, of which you had made well known in your comment. However, I would just simply say that I prefer the original over the new instead of the way WARPHEAD had lashed out. I will be honest and say that there are people I love and respect that are gay, but I do not and will not turn my back on the natural relation between man and woman because of being burned big-time by my ex-wife. It is said that "the two would come together to make one flesh," and of course that involves a man a woman. And in due time, his mother and I would teach him those values. And should I choose not to have another genuine article woman (that includes not having implants or gender change....if you weren't born with it why have it) then I'm sure that there's a lot of things I can do with my time as a single man. And whenever the right woman comes, it'll be all in good time.

    Mr. Spock was one of the most enigmatic, complex characters in all of fiction. His intellect was far superior to almost every humanoid i.e., not an Entity shapeshifted into something physical (Tremaine for instance). Yet he was also a huge risk taker... and acted upon his Human intuition even when his intellect railed against it. Deeply emotional, and yet always in control of his faculties. He will always stay with me as an unshakable archetype, a guide for us to set higher standards of conduct & intelligence for ourselves. Thank you, Leonard Nimoy, for your portrayal of this not-less-than remarkable character. I hope to meet you at the Antares Maelstrom someday... 🖖🏼👽
