for me it worked well using circle curve making even verts, checker selecting and moving up, duplicate rings 3 times, rotate acording to pattern and give a profile, + nonedstructive

OMG Blender is so awful and unnecessarily convoluted to work with, no idea why anyone would choose Blender over Maya or 3ds Max...

Also the indie versions only cost 305 bucks/year, that's like 25 bucks per month..
