Cheapest DIY “ultrasonic” cleaner ever. (That works)

  • Using an old electric sander and a kitchen pan, this thing surprisingly works excellent. Just using degreaser and hot water in it has cleaned everything that I needed it to. Filmed this as I was putting it together so you get to see my actual surprise that it works so well. Afterwards I put a heating element from a george foreman grill in in so that it heats the solution as well. Could be improved upon but hopefully this gives someone ideas if they are looking to make one for themselves.

    I need to do this! I built my own case cleaner for reloading out of a sander that actually works really good!

      I still use the thing to this day so I would say it’s worth doing!

    Seen this before. Friend of mine gaffer-taped a sander to an old paint can in which the parts were placed along with some gas. All came out shiny and new looking.

    not to piss on your picnic, but an ultrasonic cleaner works with sound waves , but if it works that's all that matters i guess😁

      WRONG!

    • @bjburton5931
      @bjburton5931 Před 10 měsíci

      RIGHT, although the vibration will help to clean, its more like a washing machine. Ultrasonic cleaners (also known as ultrasonic baths) use ultrasound waves to clean objects. You may have heard the term "ultrasound" before, as it has long been used to produce images of babies from inside the womb. But that's not all they're good for.
      Ultrasound waves are high-frequency waves that produce a sound that humans cannot hear. Ultrasound waves are at least 20,000 Hz (20 kHz) while maxing out at around 100,000 Hz (or 100 kHz). Most humans can only hear sounds of up to 20,000 Hz (20 kHz). But while we may not be able to hear these waves, we can still make use of them.@@Fucknuts4u

      Every vibrating object produces sound waves. You can even hear them in the video. The better question is whether the presence of higher frequencies really makes much of a difference.

      @@NastyCustoms5150 gasoline itself is the GREATEST for some stuff. Not the whole unit full of gas of course. Fill up a glass or peunutbutter jar with gas and set it on your screen. Works great. Obviously too aggressive for some things but not for carbs!

    Typical podunk solution for a $50 item. Something that makes a ridiculously uncomfortable amount of noise and is not what is claimed.
