Eternals is a beautiful film that embodies none of the stereotypes of the other marvel movies. It deserves to be seen more than once to take it all in. Much gratitude to the artists who worked on it.

This movie will grow on people. It delivers such a heartfelt message about humanity and connectedness. I watched it a second time and was in tears now that everything sank in even more🙏🏽

Salma's point about Thena's 'craziness' is so on point.
Yeah that was a great insight she pointed out. It's the more subtle points like this one that either make or break a Marvel film IMO. By their very nature, they don't fully flesh these types of ideas out within the movie. Usually not enough time to do it because you have to get to the spectacle or the humor or the action. So I think for some, that can leave a bad taste in their mouths- like, oh there goes Marvel again failing to do anything truly profound or insightful. But on the flip side, you can also argue that these movies leave it up to the viewer to glean the insights and profound messages. Rather than beat us over the head with them, we're allowed to pick up on the subtleties that the film leaves for us. They're comic book movies at the end of the day, but it's all about what the viewer wants to get out of it. If you go into a movie expecting to be disappointed by how shallow and formulaic it is...you'll probably feel that way by the end. If you go in hoping to be surprised with new ideas and messages, then you give yourself a chance to be amazed.
@@JasonJia909 Well said. It's been kind of interesting for me to hear people's opinions. I went into the movie expecting an emphasis on character instead of plot or action and I really enjoyed it.

A lot of people highly disliked this movie for many reasons, but one particular reason did not sit right with me. People were saying this movie was forced diversity. I think that if you can go into the movies and watch this and actually be upset because you're seeing "too many poc" that's more of a you problem than a movie problem. Eternals represented what we all are, and I thought that was so beautiful to see. This is by far our most inclusive and diverse cast we've had in the MCU, and the fact that we're just now getting to this point in 2021 is shocking to me. I won't sit here and say this was the best film ever because of how diverse it was, because like most movies it had it's faults but it most definitely does not deserve the hate it gets at all. I think this movie did a great job setting up the future for the MCU while also introducing us to a talented fresh cast, and to top it all off the representation for poc and the deaf community was great. Something that was way overdue and definitely needed.
parts of the story and dialogue felt forced, but the most natural part of the movie was how diverse it was. There was never a point watching it where it seemed forced.
No. It’s very double standards. Nobody has problems with poc being in movies. But when it is completely forced and the 100% reason why person A was casted was because they weren’t a white male, is really annoying. For example, why can’t black panther be re-casted as an Indian? Because it takes place in Africa? Clearly movies don’t care about continuity so it shouldn’t matter? Or since we are constantly recasting marvel characters as different ethnicities, again why can’t the next black super hero be recasted as a Indian, a Chinese person, a Native American? Can’t do that because black people, even though there are so many black super heroes. Let’s be fair then and and represent everyone. Why are there like no Hispanic super heroes?

Love Salma... I hope everybody understands that she talks a lot and sometimes over talks because that's who she is, she's real and sweet. She's not doing it with bad intentions, love their chemistry. They really look like a family. 💛
Salma,Lauren and Leah are the only ones who seem to be thrilled to speak. The others no offense seem over it.And probably need a stiff drink
I can listen to going on about this for hours. This movie is wonderfully shot, contains heart and humour. It will go down as the most underrated Marvel movie.

idk if anyone realised this in the movie but the way Thena acted under mad wary(I have no clue what the actual spelling is), she was ready to fight everyone and kill them if it meant protecting the original inhabitants of Centaurion-6. idk if people noticed that but I just feel like it reflects what Gilgamesh told her, "When you love something, you protect it. It is the most natural thing in the world."

A lot of people hated on this movie once it was announced that Harry Styles would be playing in it which drives me crazy (As a Harry fan) but also because what’s so wrong with an artist who is also and actor playing in the MCU? I don’t think I’ll ever understand why Eternals is so hated, it’s so wonderfully cast and I feel like the main story is about how they’re all a family in the end. I seriously can not wait for more with this cast and where they’ll take these characters especially Eros as Harry joins the MCU.

Salma is incredible
I watched this movie for the pure curiosity of why they weren’t there to help fight Thanos, yet the movie turned out to be a total gem. Diversity is a constant these days and loved everyone but what I appreciated as well was Jolie’s presence with her super, out of this world stardom remain so humble. She gave everyone else the floor and that’s something you don’t see. Hayek is always hilarious.

The first time I watched it I hate it. I thought the characters were a bunch of Mary Sues but the 2nd time I watched, it was a good film. Not like avengers but still good. The Mary Sue like personalities was justified bcos they had their memories wiped out and they're like fancy robots. And it's more philosophical than smash everything. Even what they thought as villians were just actually gray characters. It's definitely a more mature superhero movie. It makes you think.

Character assassination- turning good guy Ikaris into an anti hero guy . In the comics Ikaris is good.

Since they had PoC cast try to take on white guy Ikaris only for him to still stand and fight them ( fought thena, Grabbed and lasered Makkari ( who is okay with druig controlling indigenous peoples minds) and he broke free of Hiroshima Phastos Chains.
They did GoldenGlobe Winner RichardMadden dirty to prop up the poor actors ( only Madden, Jolie , Lee, Chan, McHugh and Hayek escape being called poor actors)
And few loudmouth fools stanning drukkari because the goth druig fell in love with the hard of hearing character, Makkari. That's Sympathy support .
They dont look cohesive like there is no Chemistry between the cast or its just me? It's really different without a RDJ around..
