if you want a game get this if you want a real sim that is actually endorsed by pro's get R3E , RF2 or Iracing.
+Martisan Drivers said that last game..., and you missed the point. The point is, if you want to bring in sim enthusiasts, then focus on providing "more details" regarding physics/handling, rather than the looks.... hence, "More updates on this aspect of development".
2017 is definitely a very good year for racing games.

I really really really hoop you make the wheel setup for the console version more simple. In PC1 there are far to many setup possibilities for the wheel which I as console player don't get right!!!!
Console isn't a personal computer.
For me that is the reason I don't play PC1 on the PlayStation anymore.

Just use standard setups for the wheel so you can get used to that.
I a real car you CAN'T change your power steering or adjust it. You need to get used to the car!!!!
For me that's a big reason to play Assetto Corsa despite it being worse online then your game.

Project Cars is certainly the best racing simulator game ever made. Congratulations to the developers for this masterpiece.
All STEERING WHEELS should be supported and SET UP on detecting your hardware! Sadly not many people in the world can afford the setup Goodwin is running on, nor would we have access to the team who built the game in order to achieve the most REALISTIC settings for their WHEEL! People should not have to go through the arduous process of setting up their WHEEL before they can jump in-game and expect to do a controlled lap. We should ALL feel like Chris arriving at the seat and things being SET for HIM for ULTIMATE REALISM! (Not the case for us peasants).
At most there should be a game-start calibration (simple turn left/right , press throttle/brake & gears/buttons) and then your wheel should be automatically set including all sensitivity, deadzones & advanced filtering according to the hardware you are running. There should be no reason for having to tweak your wheel for hours/days just to get the right "feel" and complete a controlled lap. THIS MUST BE DONE ON THIS GAME, to even justify buying it again! Especially that it is a e-Sport?(which is laughable). Either way if controller drivers aren't separated from steering wheel drivers in this version, this GAME CAN GO FUCK ITSELF, RIGHT OFF BAT!
They admitted this mistake with the first game, so the second should be easier to get right with wheels. I have a G27 because the T500 was too much in what I was willing to spend.
Got the T500rs with F1 Ferrari addon & I can tell you; you're not missing out on much. The G25 & G27 are both very decent steering wheels and actually have better latency then the T500rs. The T500rs is apparently the more powerful FFB option but you will find that over saturated FFB is the last thing you need in a situation where you're trying to be consistent & fast.
so true i have to turn down the ffb to 50 and in game the t500rs is a beast
It is exactly due to the fact that I do NOT have the time to perfect the feel of my steering wheel by trail and error over hours/days that I posted this comment. Also I was completely let down by the concept of Project Cars. If I hadn't assumed it would use a model similar to iRacing I would never have bought it.
When I learned it will be a series of titles just like all other "games", I knew what to expect. Just another in the long line of generic titles to grab our money year to year... Gaming Is Dead. All hail the rise of the Simulated Age! Simulations will split the gaming market by providing REAL innovation and the new technological LEAPS! That is... true to life PHYSICS not GRAPHICS anymore and I for one can't wait till it happens!
Split the casual gamer from people who want MORE from their experience. Hopefully phones get much more powerful so console gamer's can use them to "game" (that's right people THAT is what will happen) & finally allow the PC to evolve to it's full potential without the constraints of the GAMING industry. ALL HAIL THE SIMULATED ENVIRONMENT!
Nobody project cars was a huge fucking let down. the ffb on my wheel would snap to the center like a was 100% throttle on a FF car with 500hp. it was atrocious. I think the crew had better force feedback than that and pcars is a "simulator". I also had like almost zero road feel. in assetto Corsa and rfactor you can feel the moment when your tires gain grip or when you exceed the slip angle. in pcars you didn't feel anything until you were sliding out.
Chris Goodwin seems like the kinda guy I could just sit and listen to him speak about cars for hours and not get sick of it.

Car design idea: Make the brake caliper so that when the brake rotors glow like they do at 3:22, the car's manufacturer's name or logo appears. So "McLaren" in his case shines through the caliper, glowing orange.

I purschased PCars GOTY edition week ago and the game is beautiful in every aspect. Easily my favorite racing game so far. Now CARS is just getting better!
Chris Goodwin=Awesome! I love that he added his critique of the first test of what we all want in a game which is handling, feel and performance of the car and then the physics team has to fix it, we hope. What I dont like in video #2 of Pat Long is that there is no critique at all, it was like watching a short film.
Will look forward to checking this out. I was always a big fan of Project Cars despite its early pitfalls. Fingers crossed it has now got this bang on!!

All this...."feel"...doesn't matter for shit if you're gonna be playing with a controller. You need all those driving peripherals and three 4Ks if you want to truly enjoy this.
Sad part is, with the way those peripherals cost, by the time you create your perfect racing sim, you can probably afford a McLaren.
Kronos or the money it costs to get all that stuff to play a game go out buy a cheapish car make it track ready and take it to track .cant get any more real than that

For those who has serious bugs in the gameplay or in the handling, I just feel bad for you, that you cannot get the marvellous driving experience in the simulator with the graphics.
I have played 42hours PC2 and maybe 2hours of the time I have been on Career? I've been training on drifting. But I'm starting to get Career-mode more in few days :D
I also bought Seasonpass to see upcoming content. :) If the bug-fixing patch are the main job to do, then it is. I'm very happy for this game 5/5 :)

Great so much effort... i will definitely gonna buy and play this game..
I need this game to have a child with need for speed for visual customization and maybe some sort of story mode, forza horizon 3 for open world driving and visuals, gran turismo 6 for the list of cars and competitive community that it brings, the crew for the size of map and drive club for the sound of cars. I might be missing a few things but this would be my perfect car game.
I have all the 'top' racers on my xBox One, but I always go back to Project Cars. It's not perfect, but imo, the best currently available. Hope this is as good as the hype.

I noticed several times they almost don't know the player is next to them. Ever play Spa with 36 cars in random order? That's funny and frustrating.
Those AI don't have any spatial awareness, all they have in their computer brain is the racing line.

the project cars game was the most like gran turismo. and the dynamics where on point.
Yeah, if you buy a rig like in the video you will be able to feel how REAL the Mclaren 720s is. But if you have the same old Logitech g25 or Thrustmaster stuff I can't believe that it'll be so much different than the Project Cars 1. Maybe on PC but not on Xbox One or PS4.

Sounds like they listened to the fans of their first game. Project Cars is a good game but the handling seems off and you constantly have to mess with the settings to get it to feel right. We should be able to select the wheel we are using and the game should set it correctly. Hopefully number 2 will do it right.

I've heard they tried to get the Mclaren Honda 2017 F1 car in the game as well. But it didn't work because the car kept breaking down.

As someone who went from keyboard racing in Pcars to a wheel, I hear controller support in Pcars 1 was terrible, unimaginably so. I hope that Pcars 2 will have much better controller support, so that I can enjoy that game along side my friends.

Like the look of the game and had some fun with project cars 1 but will be waiting till this game is 20 or less to buy because I will be having loads of games to play for a while

Looks great but so did the first one. I hope they spend a little more on the career mode as well. Create more events, prizes, incentives to race the same tracks over and over again. Develope pit crews/teammates/brand. Do that ill be there on day one.

Well being a disabled driver and growing up with consoles,car games is what makes me keep gaming,but I can't use a steering wheel set up.i only can use a controller,so please project cars get the right feedback in a controller.grantourisimo has nailed it with or with out.so before I buy project cars 2 it has to work with pad.because this game looks mint.
