  • To use a suction hose with a Kärcher pressure washer, you will need a few additional components, including a suction hose, a filter, and a detergent or chemical injector, depending on your intended use. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you:
    1. Prepare the equipment: Ensure you have a Kärcher pressure washer with a detergent or chemical injector port. You will also need a suction hose compatible with your pressure washer model. Check the user manual or consult Kärcher's official website to find the right suction hose for your machine.
    2. Connect the suction hose: Locate the detergent or chemical injector port on your pressure washer. It is typically marked or labeled accordingly. Attach one end of the suction hose to this port securely.
    3. Prepare the filter: If your suction hose does not have a built-in filter, you will need to attach one. Filters prevent debris or large particles from entering the pressure washer system, protecting it from damage. Attach the filter to the free end of the suction hose.
    4. Submerge the suction hose: Place the filter end of the suction hose into the detergent or chemical solution you wish to draw into the pressure washer. Ensure the filter is fully submerged to avoid sucking in air.
    5. Start the pressure washer: Turn on the pressure washer and let it run for a few moments without engaging the trigger. This step helps remove any air trapped in the system.
    6. Engage the trigger: With the pressure washer running, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to activate the water flow. This action will create a suction effect and draw the detergent or chemical solution through the suction hose and into the pressure washer.
    7. Adjust the injector settings: Some Kärcher pressure washers allow you to adjust the detergent or chemical injection rate. Refer to your pressure washer's user manual to determine how to adjust these settings, if available.
    8. Start cleaning: With the detergent or chemical solution being drawn into the pressure washer, you can now begin cleaning surfaces as desired. Follow the instructions for your specific cleaning agent and the recommended technique for using the pressure washer.
Remember to always wear appropriate protective gear, such as goggles and gloves, when using a pressure washer with chemicals or detergents. Additionally, follow the safety guidelines and recommendations provided by Kärcher for your specific pressure washer model.

That is the problem 15 seconds in - it is already assembled. I do not know how to asesmble the filter end. I have 3 parts and the hose for that end - one is obviousl some kind of screw thing but no idea how to fit other 2 parts although can see which bits goes at end in water...

The filter part just fits on the one end of the pipe, and it's the same for the other end. It's the same as fitting the same parts to a main tap hose pipe. Mine came out of the box made up, not really sure why you're didn't. If you want, I can make a short video if you want 😉 laters Steve

Hi. I Purchased a Karcher k4 compact today. I’ve ordered 2 25L water containers to use them as a water source while practising to become a valeter. Is this suction hose required to use them water containers? The containers do have taps on them. So what else would I need to make this work? Do I need any adapters? Just the suction hose kit? Please let me know how and what I’d need exactly to use my k4 compact with water containers. Thank you so much.

If you check with the information in the box, it will show you what you need 🙂 My k2 don't work with a suction tube only main water, my K7 works with both and is easy to fix to a container with tap or suction tube 🙂 hope this is helpful laters Steve

Hi there. I've got K2 and used similar source of water , but cut pressure so many times. I don't know why. Should be water slightly higher? Any matter hose length?

You need to prime your hose when connected to your k2 take the gun off switch on the karcher and wait until you get all the air out you should get even flow rate of water if so switch off k2 add gun test it by turn on then add lance?

@tenzin044 one thing I will add is to make sure your water supply is at least 2ft higher than the k2, I have never had experience problems with a pipe at 10 meters. Sometimes, I understand that some Karcher suction tube attachments are restricted by the size of the hole in the pipe connector
