    I sat and bawled with you. My little guy just turned 10 months and I have to go back to work the beginning of February. It’s so heartbreaking to think of how little I will get to see him during the week. Sometimes it’s hard to count your blessings so I’m glad you listed some. I am blessed to have my rainbow baby after struggling to get pregnant and a miscarriage. Being a mama is the best job I have ever had even on the hard days. Xoxox sending love to you with Jackson’s first birthday. ♥️

    Ah, Kayla, you had me in tears about weaning off breastfeeding. My breastfeeding journey had to end at 12 weeks and I was so so so sad. What I did that has helped me so much since then was taking close up photos and videos of my daughter nursing. Just for me. I still, at 9.5 months postpartum, watch them and while it makes me cry it also preserves the memories. Thanks for sharing your sadness with us; I hope our support helps you through it.❤️

    You’re not alone! I’m sitting here crying with you because our second (and probably last) baby also turns 1 this month and I can’t even handle it. Please keep us updated on how you are feeling about it and any tips on staying positive about it. It makes me so sad that the baby phase flies by so fast. 😭

    I hear you Kayla. I'm starting feel very emotional about my 2nd baby getting older and older in a blink of an eye😭 I always thought I would have 3 babies but I feel this may be it for us too and the thought of this journey being the last with a little baby, and the whole breastfeeding too makes me very sad. I can totally relate... breastfeeding has been difficult, but that bond is something special and it's emotional when your babies don't need you for that anymore. But let's look at it this way, it means you've been doing great raising a healthy and happy baby for an entire year already (especially during this crazy year)👍

    I have to remind myself how blessed I was to experience having a baby. My daughter was born on December 8th, and will be turning 30 years old soon, but it feels like yesterday.
    I had to have an emergency hysterectomy 5 days after her birth due to hemorrhaging. So, I had 1 pregnancy, and 1 beautiful daughter who my husband and I adore!! Thank you for sharing your motherhood journey with us.💖

    Hey Kayla I know, they grow so fast and babyhood is a precious thing. Just because you are sad doesn't mean you don't love your kids and your husband. Breathe in and out. Your emotions are human, and it's also tough that you will not be nursing much longer. Hang in there. You're a great Mom.

    Don’t worry, all babies develop at their own pace! 😊 My son developed his physical milestones a little later and I freaked out about it and compared him to others all the time.
    Now, he’s doing a lot.

  • @susalkasarahi
    @susalkasarahi Před 3 lety

    I completely understand what you mean when you feel like time has flown by. I think I can especially this year because of the pandemic like time has flown by at twice the speed! I had my baby in March and he turns 9 months in a couple days and I cannot believe how fast it's going and in 3 months he'll be a year old and it just makes me feel so emotional and even now I'll scroll through my phone to look at his newborn pictures and make miss him being a tiny little blob that didn't flip over when I change his diaper or crawl all over the place.

  • @DAng-ze6lj
    @DAng-ze6lj Před 3 lety +1

    You dont have to stop. I felt same way you feel when my baby was almost one year old and we stopped at 20 months old. SO GLAD I didnt push it and force him to stop at one year. I was an emotional wreck trying to stop when my baby was one year old. By 20 months I was over it and so much easier for me to stop. I actually celebrated it because I knew I can drink wine again lol

    • @DAng-ze6lj
      @DAng-ze6lj Před 3 lety

      And they stop biting when you get past one. And it's more meaningful to the baby as well. You literally see how comforting it is for them. It's still an emotional process but much easier to distract them from the boob when they're older and trying to stop. I wish you luck.

  • @pixiesaytar5484
    @pixiesaytar5484 Před 3 lety

    Can’t believe almost a year has passed so quickly! Just remember that you don’t have to stop breastfeeding right away if you don’t want to. If your heart is still in it and it’s still convenient for you to keep nursing, Jackson will continue to benefit physically and emotionally (and so will you!) if you keep going until it feels easier / more natural for you to wean. Only stop if you genuinely want to. You’re the boss in your journey. Whatever is right for you and your family is right. ❤️

    Hi Kayla, I enjoy your videos so much! My daughter is just a littel older than Jackson--she was born 11-11-19. We are struggling with her lack of weight gain since month 7 so I very much understand what you are going through with your baby boy. She's in the 2nd percentile, but making strides and gaining slowly. For awhile, we were not even on the chart! We are also starting physical therapy to help her with balance and encourage her to start walking.

    My first only said 3 words regularly until he was 2. Right after he turned two he just suddenly started speaking. He's 2.5 now and says 3-5 word sentences. I actually had him evaluated to make sure he didn't need speech therapy. He was totally fine. Some take time. My babies are also almost exactly 2 years apart. The todd's first multi word sentence was "night night baby" to his newborn brother 🥰

Recovery has been another story. I'm also 32 and know it will get harder getting older. I have come to terms with only haven't 1. It's a strange feeling being happy and sad seeing a little one grow.

    My son is about a month and a half older than Jackson and I love seeing how they're growing so similarly. Just yesterday my son started finally walking! I'm so im awe and happy but also so sad that he's technically staring to go to the toddler phase now and he's not an actual baby anymore and im getting notifications on memories of him a year ago and I just can't sometimes! But it's been so fun seeing him explore the world.
    You mentioning teething just makes me wonder how bad are molars going to be. My son had 3 teeth come out practically at the same time and he took it like a champ! Hopefully molars are a walk in the park after that 😅

    Thank you so much for sharing!!! You have such a beautiful family! Keep praying for Gods will. If it's for you to stop having babies and focus on your current family, then at least you know you are making the right decision for what His will is for you! I totally understand the bond of a son and mother. I have a beautiful 9 month old little boy, who we are fostering to adopt. I can't biologically have children due to medications that I'm on for autoimmune conditions. I also don't want to pass those conditions down. The bond doesn't get any less strong biological or not. So what I'm trying to say is that you will always have such a strong bond with your children no matter what:) Thank you so much for your videos! I always look forward to what my little guy will be doing next! Also, fights with your husband are so normal... It's how you come back from it and work towards doing better the next time. Just remember to laugh. If my husband didn't laugh I don't know where we would be.

    Gee, joe should cut u a slack. It is so hard to be a mom and in the same time trying to please your partner. I just saw the video that you posted several days ago. Joe complain about u controlling his desk, “the mat”. Everyone in the comment was like “poor joe”… I was like what? Why. I totally feel u. U need to feel good in your own home, especially u are the one work and stay at home all day long, u can’t have a eyesore. So hug to u! And feel better. U are doing way better than most of the people.

    Hey Mama! Hang in there! If you don’t want to stop breastfeeding you don’t have to! The world health organization recommends breastfeeding to two years and beyond. The world average age that a child would wean themselves without any intervention from parents is between the ages of ~4-6 years old. Just wanted to let you know if it feels right for you and Jackson to continue breastfeeding, go for it 😁🙌

    Kayla, I remember you talking about how you wanted 3 or 4 kids but now it sounds like you're stopping at 2. Is that because of how much work it is?

      I can't remember exact wording, but since the baby time was really hard with all sleeping issues and some other stuff they have said they are done now. However are open to more if it would happen in a few years from now (like more than 5 years). If I remember correctly, I can be wrong^^

    How can this boy be so similar to mine. Everything like his weight, activity level, blabbering, sleeping pattern, distracted when having bottle and breastfeeding before naps and have to have an eye on him 24/7

    Kayla, I started tearing up with you! I completely understand what you are going thru 100%, I'm going thru it right now. I don't want to stop breastfeeding I do it morning and night right now and its killing me that potentially that bond will be stopping soon. Our baby's are growing up so fast!!!! Anywho, I've been a hairstylist for 15+ years and when u mentioned your hair growing back and possibly wearing a headband. I needed to get on here and let u know that if you start wearing one it will break your hair off even more because you are putting pressure on that part of the hair that ur trying to grow back. I have so much pp hairloss and lately I've been trying to hard to not put it up in a pony and if I do I put it in a loose low pony.....I just love you and ur family I look forward to watching your videos everytime I get the notification! You are so real about everything and I relate so much to you about most everything. ❤️ Happy early Birthday to the kiddos!!!

    I wouldn't worry about not getting your period back if you're on the pill. It can for some women stop their periods and it's not a bad thing it may feel strange for you but it's fine. I was on an implant for 6 years and never bled and as soon as I was off it it was back. Hormonal birth controt effects your body in so many ways so this time around you may not get it back.
