The SEC has produced top safeties the last few years like Jamal Adams, Xavier McKinney & Grant Delpit with Georgia Safety Richard LeCounte up next. LeCounte could have declared this past draft & heard his name called, but returned to school to improve his stock. Right now, he’s viewed as one of the top overall defensive backs in the country.

One of my favorite players to watch on the defensive side of the ball. Amazing instinct and willingness to pursue the football. He does have to improve his tackling. Once he cleans that up, he'll be an awesome edition on anyone's team. Wish him nothing but success. GO DAWGS!

Looks like he's going to stay in school for the upcoming year.
Good instincts on the field, big time hitter and has solid coverage skills. Some team will get really good player. He'd do well with the Bears, Patriots, Seahawks and Eagles.
This guys got potential...greatness in the making.
I played him his freshman year in HS it was him and Reakwon McMillan he was good then. He also could hoop to glad to see he going pro

Richard LeCounte is a finesse free safety with good physicality
If LeCounte is truly the best then the bar is considerably lower this year. He is a great athlete and has great instincts, but his fundamentals and finishing skills are seriously underdeveloped. Watched him plenty in 2019, started calling him rubber band man because the dude can't tackle to save his life bouncing off dudes and he gets absolutely burned in man coverage consistently. On the flip side who else do we pick? Only other name that comes to mind is Jacoby Stevens who I really like, kind of the same package with him honestly

LeCounte needs to go to a team like Chicago or New England. His athleticism is insane and there's potential to be a good safety, but needs to be in the right system.

Just because he plays for LSU doesn’t make him the best. But Cisco and Ford are pretty underrated

I don’t really watch college football so is this guy more of a FS or a SS? Also just from the other highlights I saw on this channel I liked the safeties from USC better or the safety from UT you covered, can someone explain why this guy is supposed to be better? Is it cuz he’s in SEC? He looks kinda small and seems to have trouble tackling so I guess it’s his ball hawk skills that rank him pretty high? Would appreciate someone who knows more about CFB to explain, thanks

I assume you're a Florida fan, but I personally view LeCounte as the top safety in the conference in terms of draft stock.
