I had a small stroke watching this video. A for effort!
Oh that is funny 😄
😩😮💨
🤣😂
Me too 😟🤣
LoL
No drill motor attachment?
Dad, I dont want to camp anymore! 😫😂
Funny I've heard this before.
This is Awesome !!!! when my teenage son misbehaves, guess what, I will get him to move this trailer up and down the driveway using this device
LOL, It is like a mid evil torture device.
I would do absolutely anything other than doing it this way LOL
I had this for one day, sold it and bought a nice electric dolly...life is sweet.
which electric dolly did you get?
A truck seems like a great idea if you have a trailer. It must take forever to get to a camp spot 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well I got my workout for the day... Just watching these guys! Haha!
I have the same Trailer Valet XL. I got it very inexpensively second-hand. I can understand people's negative comments about it. Every time I use it I feel like I've been on a treadmill for an hour (and that's with a drill) but in some circumstances (extremely narrow driveway and street) it is actually very helpful in getting a trailer where you want it to go. I envy the guys who grew up towing trailers on the family farm who can back a 5th-wheeler through an obstacle course blindfolded, but if you are just someone who tows a couple times a year, a trailer dolly can really help you make your camping possible.
Thanks for the comment. It's definitely not for everyone but it does work and it makes my situation possible so I put up with the added work-out!
Yup have to agree it works for some of us. It was worth the money. Let the others laugh…. It’s not for everyone. The drill attachment makes it doable and the best way for us to move the two trailers we have.
That’s why I only use the drill. It’s hard enough wrestling it even with the drill, but it works. My drill is no worse for wear so far and I’m moving a 6200 lbs RV trailer. Yea not for everyone, but it works for those who need it. I’ll never use the crank if I can help it. 😜
@Kw-xt3xk If you can back a 53-foot trailer through New York City, then this product would indeed not be useful to you.
I have never found a quality motorized trailer dolly for that sort of price. I keep looking for one second hand as I would like to have one.
@Kw-xt3xk
Thank you for this video. Now I know I definitely will save up to get the motorized valet. My arms got a cramp just watching your video.
Great job, it worked. I used the cheap HF 10,000lb winch for my boat, it worked out perfect since I don't have help like you do. Suggestion, tie chock blocks behind wheels so it drags it along for that "just in case" moment.
Great idea! Do you have a video showing how?
Show us a video of how to tie chock blocks behind wheels please - I'll wait...
@robbob4872 hang them from the body behind the wheels. They will hang down and drag behind tire only when using dolly and when you travel you can remove them and stow them in the trailer.
I have so many fun ideas with this, like hooking it up to my utility trailer and making it into a slow speed golf kart without a steering wheel and pedals 😂
There's a power drill attachment you can get. Watching this, I think it might be a worthy purchase.
true but seller says not to use drill on an incline
A year later and he's finally worked up the nerve to put it back in his driveway...lol How do you close the garage door with the trailer tongue in the way?
No thanks, but I appreciate the effort. This is exactly what I don't want to do.
Specially if you pay over $700 lol!
There is no way I would buy this product that's like torture. All I can say is wow
I own one and it works great there is a drill Adapter that makes it way easy and if you put it on the 2nd one down it make it go very fast
It’s only a lot of work (and dangerous) on an incline. On flat ground it works wonderfully.
Specially if you pay over $700 Lol!
@@midwesta-framer649 You make a good point .Thanks
Whoever invented that should be slapped
I have been laughing for the past 10 minutes! This is ridiculous.
LMFAO
LMMFAO
@@ricardovelez3796 i think you’re supposed to use a drill
@@markchavez7707 say that to them
Great job. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for doing this video. I know what not to buy, and I was just looking at one of these same exact model and I’m really glad I did not get it.
I found the winch system you used interesting could you explain how to make it or where to buy one
I broke out a sweat watching this. Hope you have an electric one now haha.
They should call this the "cardio 2000"!
what is that red attachment called? Looks like a safety bar/bracket
Are there regulation that don’t allow you to back it in the driveway? I guess only benefit is no one can steal it. How long does it really take to get in in the driveway?
Can you use a cordless drill to crank it up??
The product might not be as efficient but the TEAM work is on point
I think I'll opt for the motorized style if I get one, man I am wore out just watching. But, very cool indeed! Atleast this one is immune to an EMP attack.
Thanks for the demo. Questions on your "custom bracket" that attaches to the jack post: 1. It looks like you attach to the post and the trailer valet with chain link fence brace bands, correct? 2. have you noticed any undue wear/tear on your jack from the tension of pulling with the Trailer Valet?
I haven't noticed any wear on the jack. The brace only really works when you are pushing straight forward or back. Doesn't provide much support when turning. I now remove the ball from the trailer valet when attaching to the trailer. The connection is much more secure using this method.
@@godfamilybikes1703 where did you get the custom bracket
I use a truck to move my trailer. How long does it take to go 1000 miles.
How about using a wireless impact or drill?
Hahahaha this is hilarious!!! This poor kid is going to get beat up by the grumpy neighbor when he has to wait 2 hours to get in his driveway because he’s backing the camper up 20’ 🤣
Omg!! 😂🤣😂 you made me laugh so hard! God damn hahahahahaha I’ve been going through all these comments, yours is the funniest 😂 😂😂
What a great punishment for my oldest when he doesn’t do his school work.
Wow! That’s a what not to buy video!
That looked like a pain in the ass lol
Next time my wife calls me stupid I’m going to make her watch this!
To funny!
🤣
Thanks for sharing the use of this contraption. But all honestly I think if I had it lined up straight up the driveway what are used to block and tackle on tied to the back of it truck.
Thanks for the share - Good tool to have i would definitely buy it - and modify it using a power drill instead of the crank shaft handle easier and quicker- to pull a good power winch can be found at harbor freight for 129.00
That's good exercise
A lot of criticism I noticed in the comments, but I appreciate the safety redundancies you have here. We have the smaller Valet, and a smaller camper, and it’s more than challenging to crank it uphill. Going downhill, forget about it! I’ve considered a winch for taking it out of the garage for maintenance rather than hitching it up just to go 20 feet lol.
That’s a heck of a workout lol.
I thought it came with a socket so you can use a power drill?
He commented in the video about that. He burned up an 18v drill using that feature so now hand cranks.
This is brilliant just brilliant says nobody!
The moment the winch comes into play 🤣🤣🤣. Atleast but a powered winch.
Hi, I have a problem closing my garage door, too. My rig is too big to park in my driveway. How do you close your garage door? Thank you.
I just chalk the wheels and un hook the trailer. Then shut the door.
Thanks for the video. I'm definitely getting a motorized one after this
May be other people had asked the same question. Can you use an impact drill to power the crank instead of bare hand?
a drill is worthless for these things - if you did have one powerful enough it would probably break your arm...
What is the length and weight of your trailer? I have a 27 footer that weighs 7000lbs. I can pull it into my backyard but i need to then back it into its space and i dont back up so good and plus i am by myself! The trailer is on level grass. Would you reccomend this xl?
My trailer is 25 feet and weighs about 5000 lbs. It should work well on level ground and you also might be able to use the drill attachment. If you have to move it very far its doesn't take a lot of strength it just tiring. I would recommend it.
@@godfamilybikes1703 does the xl PULL forward at all?
Looks like it's more of a PITA than it's worth, lol. My wife and I rented a storage unit for our boat- not realizing how heavy our boat is (usually move with pickup) that getting it up the incline into the storage unit is harder than we'd originally thought it would be. There's not enough room between the rows of storage buildings to properly back it in with the truck, and the door to the unit is barely wide enough for the boat. I can see that this is not what I am needing- I need to be able to get the boat out and in a LOT faster than this, haha. Thanks for sharing!
Good exercise you can use Dewatt drills
What if you used a drill tot turn the crank for you
I really appreciated the efforts. You and I are related! LOL
I hope by now you made a drill attachment to go on that in place of the hand crank.
Anyone know what device that is in his garage he’s using to help pull it?
Nice video. Can I get some information about the winch you got mounted in the garage. Like where did you get it?
Do you use this to get to your camping destinations too. Saves the planet and gas too.
Don’t you have the power drill attachment? Makes it much easier to operate. Mine works like a champ without cranking. Love it.
Manufacturer recommends using drill only on level ground. Helps to have tag team of young strong crankers.
I can't believe how much work it is!
And the quad will fit in the garage and you can remove that floor mounted winch. On boring days you can ride the quad around the neighborhood. You get two for one.
What if you removed the crank and added a drill chuck?
I have the drill attachment. Problem is it takes a lot of torque to move the trailer. I already burned up a 18v cordless drill. I am going to try a 1/2" corded drill. Maybe I'll do a new video.
Once you have the trailer relatively straight on the street an inexpensive 12 volt winch can finish the rest up and down the driveway.
yes it would do the trick!
Please don't come here with your common sense and quality of life improving tips
That thing looks like a nightmare. I really appreciate the demonstration because I was about to buy one. I feel sorry for the kid.
The workout was more for the kid you killed him lol
Is it possible to use a drill/impact to move this?
You have creatively overcome all of the obstacles but it seems extremely complicated. Seems like you could simply attach a tongue jack wheel to the trailer and then simply push the trailer into position, then mount a cheap harbor freight winch to the tongue and create a tie down in the garage to winch from.
I have an RV that weighs 7500lbs and I need to get it into a driveway through an ally! Can you tell me exactly what you are saying to buy that can replace this? I looked at a Winch that cost about $100 that pulls upto 12000lbs. But what is a Tongue jack wheel and where can I find those?
@@2videosilike purpleline trailer mover. Not cheap but definitely worth it. You would need the dual axle version
I bet your neighbors love looking at in your driveway all the time.
Great job. Your sons will develop great work ethics and biceps!
75 dollar winch from harbor fright call it a day use jump pack or trailer house battery and call job gooden.
Just wondering - does this come with the two extra men required to use it?
This is actually really good for us food vendors at events when you show up late to setup. Sometime your neighbors will get there before you making it impossible to get the trailer into a spot, this would be perfect
I'm a little late to this reply but you're better off getting this: czcams.com/video/r8Jh6Ngdtd4/video.html
is your arm worn out
Did you buy this product from Poland also can you tell us why you're putting your camper in backwards
so that no one steals it
@@christiankamal7549 1. put chains on the wheels 2. a chain with a block around the tongue, 3. buy a few Wyze security cameras if it's that unsafe. Or better yet, if it's that unsafe, store it in a secured area.
I am so confused by so many things here. First the dolly company states not to use it up hill but hey you have to do what you have to do. Why the trailer is not backed in is beyond me. I see many wrote someone could steal it and I suppose that’s true but what are the odds a good lock and a few other gadgets don’t prevent the theft. Plus if stolen that what insurance is for. How you get this back down the driveway has to be just as entertaining as getting it up the driveway. I dam near lost it when I saw the floor attached come along being used to help assist it. Why not try an impact drill that would have to help. Honestly my hats off to you for going through this every time you camp.
The tongue of the trailer would stick out into the sidewalk. Using a drill ended up breaking the drill that was used according to the poster.
Evolution and natural selection at its finest
There is a front trailer hitch available for most trucks which would Do away with the need for Dolly
You have to watch my first video. Trailer needs to have the tongue tucked under the eves to fit in the driveway. I could pull it in with a truck if I was ok with leaving it in the garage while not using the trailer.
I was concerned about the unit sliding out from under the hitch since it's not braced. The tongue on my trailer is too short for the 5X version. There is no way I can do this. Thanks for the video!
We can start this guy's in memoriam now because that had to have given a heart attack by now.
Seems like a cordless impact or even a corded impact would have been helpful since your right at the house with it.
Have you thought about installing a stationary winch? My driveway is on an incline so I dont think this product would work for me, but I'm thinking about a winch for added safety
Nice!! ,but I’d put drill in that thing. Looks like that’s a lot of work. 😆
I have one and it came with a drill adapter wow using a drill is great especially put it on the second one down
Oh my goodness, better call the back doctor after that.
can u use a drill on it
Nice video. Glad I watched. Rethinking buying one now
I was ready to get one until I saw this video. Thanks for saving me the money:)
Does it come with a willing 24 year old?
Rent a parking spot to park it?
The VEVOR trailer dolly does not work as advertised, and they are making it difficult to return the product.
I think it's perfectly ok to move that trailer around at a snail's pace. Why the rush??
Dewalt DX 20 volt max works good for me
I had a 1989 Honda big red ATC and I would pull my dads boat. It is a lot heavier than that trailer. The boat was a 26 formula twin 454.
Trust me if you find an easier way to move that trailer you will use it a lot more.
If I owned a trailer valet I would never use the trailer and I would throw in the trailer the day I sell the house trailer valet is free with purchase.
Fantastic editing. Couldn't even see the sun go up and down in the 3 days of filming it took to move that trailer 20 feet.
Now that you've had it for a while, how do you like it?
I like you homade brace. Is there a vid of this?
Have a great weekend everyone!
Son said he quit😂 and got futher on dad quickly😅, ty for the vid👌🏿🎉 solved my issue i was thinking about
it sounded and looked very painful. I don't know if i wanna put up with that. they need to make the arm longer since we r. going to inch that trailer in.and that last part very dangerous.
That thing looks great! May I ask why you don’t just back the trailer in with your tow vehicle? Is it for theft deterrent?
The trailer tongue will stick into the sidewalk if the trailer was backe dup using a vehicle which is why they did it this way.
Omg!. Easier to back it in with a vehicle. It's a neat concept. I have used a snowblower tractor attachment to do the same before which also has its challenges, much less effort. Or if you need to go in reverse maybe attach a removable tongue on the back?
He's got 2 kids that's why he bought it
hahaha
Did i miss the reason the trailer wasn't just backed into the driveway? Unless it's to keep access to the toy hauler ramp?
Even with the drill attachment that looks like hard work.
So ur telling me u have to constantly crank this thing, While bending down
Can you attach a drill to the crank!
I’m exhausted!
Wow u make that look so difficult
Not a chance will I buy one of those.
lmaoooooooo love this
