    Brakes?
    You get to the campsite go to turn camp trailer around and over the cliff she goes.
    I'd want a trigger brake on all three wheels, weights change.

    Looks nice but with the two back wheels so close to the trailer you can barely turn it. I would think it should be 4" - 6" wider per side. Not a bad trike design but I also just like those with 2 wheels. I can see how this is good for heavy trailers but as other's have said it would be nice to see some wheel brakes too.

    I have the one with the Buggs and Strap on and hydrostatic drive. Moves a 14.000 lb boat around corners.

    We want to see the Blooper reel. Rolling toward the truck in first clip you stopped and restarted most likely because you were going to fast to stop it.

    I think this product has potential in commercial applications. For liability reasons with would be best if it came with some kind of brake. Also guys with a nice shop and lots of big toys might see value in it.

      It has a brake on the front wheel

    • @hochhaul
      @hochhaul Před 5 lety +4

      @@MrTruckTV I meant more of a dead man brake so if your slip or fall the brake activates and hopefully stops the trailer.

    That's pretty nice, but I have a couple things I would like to see improved on that piece of equipment... The 1st thing would be a riser extension strong enough and stable enough to pick up those trailers out of the little groove area were between the 2 wheels.. Because with your flat bed in your horse trailer you couldn't maneuver it or turn if you need to to back it up or turn it forward so there would have to be some kind of way to improvise otherwise it wouldn't be useful to just push it in barely turn.... 2nd of all the front wheel that pivots in the Circle. I would like to see a lot on the will to keep it from turning if you were just trying to back it straight up..
    The reason being when you were trying to push it Backwards and it started to turn on you in then turn the whole unit, That would make it hard to just push it straight back if you know what I mean.. It moves too much when you're just trying to push it backwards you would need to lock in in place to make it more stable soul when you're pushing with all that force your body doesn't get worked every time and pushes to the side and then you have to re straighten it out..
    That's just my opinion everybody's probably different lol

      Yeah, that is what I said in the video, for trailers with the coupler welded on top of the A-frame you'd need a riser. The green trailer swiveled well under the coupler.

    Towing that with a quad would be super easy.

    I need to move a 14x7 enclosed trailer. I don't have the room to put it where I want to store it hooked to my truck.

    It's still a PITA to turn a tandem wheel trailer when it's loaded and on concrete/asphalt with just muscle power.

    I just purchased and returned this Trailer Tug for the following reason.
    When you hook it up to the trailer and then try to turn the wheels almost instantly hit the tongue jack and you can turn at all. Bad design

    I call BS unless your in a similar situation without a grade or dirt. Electric motor would assist and be the brake.

    Hello.. I did not see in the video where you moved the 4500 lb camper.. Will it work for that on the pavement? Curious as I am looking for a tug to pull my camper in and out of a tight driveway area.

  • @stevek8833

    How would this work for a 3500 lb boat/trailer on a slight grade until I get to the garage? Would this be difficult?

    • @MrTruckTV
      @MrTruckTV  Před 2 lety

      I think so, single axles are easier to move

  • @marks6072

    Completely useless, unless you’re on smooth level ground. Redesign with DC electric drive and trailer brake actuator, then you’ve got something worthwhile.

      Then you have a cost problem, for the price it has a place.

      See the Mortons On the Move channel - They did a video at the RV Manufacturer's tech show in Vegas that featured just such a machine. Most cost effective for dealerships, campgrounds &RV parks, at least initially.

      Slight grade, pot hole, maximum weight capacity(like your mom 👀jk) or a bad back would be a much more useful tool. Electric motor could also serve as the brake mechanism. I back mine exactly where it needs to go so I wouldn't use it myself.
