Make a light up Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda! This build has motion activated sound effects and LED animations!
The Adafruit Feather and Prop-Maker FeatherWing has you need to add lights and sounds to your projects. NeoPixel LEDs are fitted inside the blade.
This uses the built-in accelerometer and audio amp. When you swing it around, it’ll make different sound effects. On heavy hits it makes flashes and fade the colors of the LEDs.
It has pulsing animation and an idle sound effect that loops in the background. You can make this fit your project by customizing the colors or adding different sound effects. You can recharge the battery or even add new sounds with the USB port. The sword mounts on a computer, just like a USB Drive!

This is one of the coolest replica prop build/project ideas that I’ve seen. Amazing stuff!

I got a LED Green Light up sword from the parade today
Gonna try this with glow in the dark filament. It should still be transparent enough for the LEDs.

I can see this as a cool toy
If you have a master sword replica with a metal blade you could get the blade to glow by spray painting the blade with rust oleum glow in the dark spray paint
Reminds me of the WiFi Sting. I still want to make. Add in a skimmer scanner 🙂

Hey I think it's a cool tutorial.
I wanted to ask if you can paint clear PLA like normal PLA but still have the LEDs glow? I always work with spray filler and spray paint. Is that also possible with these PLA if you want to see the glow? Hope you understand what I mean.
I've seen someone do a similar project, and they said they used alclad 2 chrome. I'd definitely test it on a scrap print using the same filament or something just to make sure, but it's a start. Hope that helps in some way.
