Cool your video just solved a problem for me. My daughter asked if she buys a car would I paint it shiny for her. I said take your brother with you, a mechanic, she said OK. Well she came home and has stuck me with painting a honda. These things have the personality of a dead field mouse. Anyway I've got it in mother of pearl base and now she wants lace. I didn't want to spray black. The difference you show is just what I need to give her her lace and not break the colors going on. I'll do the darker one for through the lace and lay plane candy over it all. The chrome is all out getting copper plated. Thanks folks I've got to place an order tomorrow.

The silver is like a matallic and the black is a matte. I would like to see the black base in a matallic and or pearl. Idk if there is such a thing as a matallic pearl combination pain as well. I preferr the smaller flake as it is more subtle.
Please tilt the panel a little more, a little longer?, out doors so we can see the color from different angles.
I would love to see and appreciate a demo if ever you have the time.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll do a candy value video in the future, showing what a base of Pearl Black vs. Silver vs. Metallic White does to the same candy2o color. A metallic is more of an aluminum flake, silver & earth-toned whereas a pearlescent is usually mother-of-white pearl tinted with various hues to make a pearl color. Applying a pearl or metallic over a black vs. white base further effects their value. Thank you.

I want to put some metal flake and pearl in the paint job should I lay down some 2 coats epoxy with no flake then just 1 top coat of epoxy with flake an pearl in and then 3 coats clearcoat over the epoxy , or do my 3 coats of epoxy then a coat of clear with metal flake an pearl and then 2 coats of clearcoat over that??

Hot Rod Sparkle can be sprayed with a 1.3mm tip-sized gun. Remove the filter when spraying Hot Rod Sparkle, Createx's largest pearl-flake. Best application is mixing Hot Rod Sparkle with 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear (HRS 3:1 4050, thin 10% per vol. 4011 Reducer). Thank you.

weird question, just painted a test panel with metallic synergy green and then added green flake on top. the flake turned out weird where it looks like dark spots until directly in the sun... would it be because of using a 1.4 tip and its not shooting out enough or is it just the wrong colour flake and looks off?

Iwata spray-guns are fairly low on the air volume (CFM) required, at least compared to most other known brands of spray-guns. If you're set-up & compressor is having a hard time running an LPH-80, the better solution may be investing in a bigger air compressor and hoses with high-volume air fittings. Thank you.

    • @pontushenkel3366

CreatexColorsCo Thanks for you reply! My compressor is rated at 280 L/Min so my LPH 80 no is running with no problem whatsoever.. I just seem to find that most full size guns are running at about 280 L/Min it more. And I would like a little more buffer than that. How is the BellAria for Autoborne sealers?

We use the Iwata W400 with the LV-WBX 1.3mm tip for most Createx paints, including AutoBorne Sealers. For candy2o and UVLS Clears, a 1.3mm LV2 cap is used for the W400. As the Bella Aria isn't available in the U.S., we're not using that cap too much although it does work well. Thank you.

It be a mini pearl-flake of silver & blue with mostly the white showing through as Cosmic Sparkle Colors are pearl-flakes in a transparent base through which the base color is very visible. Spraying one of the Cosmic Sparkle or Hot Rod Sparkle Colors will work. wickedairbrushcolors.com/pearl-flakes

Thinning 4050 25% per volume with 4011 Reducer for use with a TH2 (0.6mm) could work, however it seems a bit excessive, ~ 5 - 10% per volume works well when applying 4050 as a clear with TH2; when mixed with candy2o, the 4050 + candy2o mix shouldn't require any thinning, maybe 5% per volume at the most.
