    I can concur at the 42 minute mark, that being out in nature (solo) for at least 10 days will fix your mental state. If you are depressed, grab a tent and some camping gear, and head out into nature. But not for a weekend, it needs to be extended stay.

    • @SenerSke
      @SenerSke Před 2 měsíci +5

      I wouldn't know because I've never been out in the bush like that but I have suffered from mental health issues in my past and still do to an extent but with my experience being left alone with my thoughts made things worse, for some people they are the worst person to be left alone with especially when you're thoughts are all you have to keep you company, guess it all depends on the person but I wouldn't suggest for just anyone dealing with mental health issues to just distance themselves from the world, if they are truly suffering from schizophrenia or racing thoughts / bipolar or insomnia, "just the few things that I have experience with", I couldn't imagine being out there beneficial if you are dealing with certain issues is all, ( just my opinion )

      @@SenerSke Anyway, you sound like someone who could benefit from psychedelic treatment therapy. Start low with micro-doses, and then ramp up to 3 grams every 7-days. Cycle between micro and high doses, 6-low, 1-high. Do this for about a month and then stop. The cure takes about another 4-10 weeks to set in as your brain rewires. The psychedelics essentially allow your brain to reform through heightened and rapid onset neuroplasticity. It's a science, read into it. I wish the best in your quest for mind health and overall stability. Fundamentally, remove yourself from humans, first. Solitude and meditation is key. It's a process. I'm lucky I fixed myself but it took me over 3 years to do it. No pharma-dope antidepressant garbage pills. Just space, time, psychedelics, and nature. God works in mysterious way. Take this note from me as a blessing, stranger. Godspeed.

But that might’ve been the worst ad placement I’ve seen, I’d argue that there’d have been a huge value in putting it 2 minutes sooner or later. Yes, we got the full story, but we also got robbed of the FEELING of it, just as the emotional connection was welling up. That’s important sometimes. Weird way to troll your audience but that’s just my 2 cents.

      This guy is a little too anti-humanity for me. And he is completely uneducated about how many animals are killed by farming and harvesting. Being vegan doesn't stop you from killing animals it just means you are killing different kinds of animals. Also, hunting one animal does not affect an ecosystem the way he thinks it does. In the US hunting actually helps because there are too few natural predators. It is much more humane to control the deer population than to let them starve to death.

    This is by far the best video to heal mind, body and spirit. I spent several years on the Navajo reservation as my wife is a tribal member. I was in a very remote area known as Shonto. After years of isolation my senses became so acute that even now after 4 years living in Flagstaff, AZ I still have trouble hearing sirens or loud car exhaust noise. We always look forward to trips into the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the lower 48, in my back yard. Press forward...live, learn, pursue truth!

    I think most of the metal health issues people struggle with in modern times is because of the way we live. The rat race. The disconnect to meaning, this amazing planet, and all the biodiversity it offers. Nature and the other amazing life forms in it reminds of us of who/what we are, human. They allow us to connect to our reality on a level that you can’t deny the beauty and how amazing it all is.

    What a GREAT interview this is, hitting me on so many levels, especially as a story of hope! When, early on in the interview, Harry talked about peoples' perceptions of the Amazon jungle as a scary, dark place, it reminds me of my current job, lol. I'm a German-born white guy who grew up in a small Midwestern town. Somehow my life path took me to a maintenance and construction job working alongside Mexican migrants and immigrants in one of Albuquerque's most violent and gang-infested neighborhoods. Before I worked there, I'd been told so many times that "anglos" like me would be killed on sight just walking down the sidewalk in this particular part of town, But I've worked there for fourteen years and have always been treated well by both the residents and my workmates. I've had a few rough incidents here or there, but bad things can happen in even the nicest areas, from my experience. Harry's eventual awakening to the beauty of the jungle was similar to my understanding that fear can obscure the light that exists in even the darkest places. Kudos to Danny, also, for asking great questions and allowing Harry the space to tell his stories!

    Really great podcast Danny. I have a question though. When he said he didn't want to talk about Khan's death and you asked anyway was that so you had better content or you were just oblivious to the correct navigation of consideration to him?

    Wow, I like to say "Danny" I love your podcast and your amazing guests, and "Harry" is just amazing !! but I can't finish this one... I tried and tried but it hurts so much to listen on how much he has been through and it hurts to see how this is going on this Earth, maybe cause I am in a not a good place .. I don't know, but I like to thank you for bringing this out to the world... We need to hear, on how we are hurting Our People, Our Animals, and Our Earth.

    I've noticed a strong cat pee scent when in the Colorado backcountry, and have seen lots of paw prints, but have yet to see a cougar or a bobcat.

    Does anyone else fast forward through the dumb golf add pitch he gives, how great some golf brand is? Like, someone please push me off the cliff. Beyond that, this specific interview, was as great as it comes.

      They must be paying him SO much for that. I'm happy to watch his ads about new age supplements and things that are good for your health, but golf clubs ?? Really ?? Seems antithetical to his ethos and mindset, but then again who knows ?? Maybe Danny's a passionate golfer and plays off a sick handicap 🤷‍♂
