FÚRIA for string octet was composed especially for Dutch ensemble ROctet, a newly formed octet comprised of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra’s leading string players. The work explores themes of rage, mayhem and acrimony, achieved through relentless increase in density, tempo and ferocity. Archie was selected as one of three Royal Conservatoire students to collaborate with the ensemble.
