- I am equally excited and terrified to take on this new chapter in my life. If this video does one thing, I hope it inspires someone else to take that risk in their life that they have been putting off. The time will never be "perfect" and the longer we wait, the harder it gets. Do it now. Put yourself out there and be brave. You got this.

After four years stuck in NSW the question "what do you do for work?" comes to mind... I can't wait to get back to D.C.
Go girl!!! Have so much fun! Be careful! I’m living vicariously through you!❤
I will!
23 yrs old, GO GURRRL! This brought up so many memories for me, brought happy happy joy joy tears to my eyes. My move across the country, and then to Spain…and Amsterdam. You are doing the right thing, I believe everyone should live out of the country at least once in their life. It changed mine. Limitless!
Thank you so much for this ❤️ So far, I am so glad I went. It is definitely an adjustment but such an incredible experience.
100%!!!
Soooo excited to follow all of your adventures and so proud of you for doing this!
Aww thankssss you’re the best
I remember the first time i came across your decor videos and got into crafts because of you. I tried all diy videos kept doing arts each day and just doing things differently and learning, from being the quiet kid at school i was awarded as the best in art in my whole school got my name up in that board🎉. Now watching this video we grew up together and i’m asking myself the same question as this video. I don’t know what i want but i’ve decided after overthinking things I’m dropping out of college and i’m going to move out not just from home or city or state but a different country all by myself wish us luck!! You’ll do just fine I’ve watched you all these years you are very intelligent and you get to find new dreams and hobbies all the time and each time you always excel. So excited for you🤍
I can’t put in words you how happy your comment made me. Thank you so much for sharing your story and letting my know the impact my videos had on you 😌 I am so excited for you to embark on this next huge chapter in your life! It’s scary but it will be so rewarding… we got this!
YESSSSS living for this! Your bucket list of things to do in Aus are so great. Excited to see you on this adventure Maddie 🙌💪
Thank you for the support!! Im already ticking things off my list ☺️ And am excited to keep tackling them!
I love this video! I love your sense of adventure. Make the memories you will share with your kids and grandkids for a lifetime!
That's the plan!
Goodluck! i hope nothing but the best for you and your journey! ❤️
Thank you so much!! ☺️
Girl, you are an AMAZING speaker. You got me excited!
Aww thank you ☺️ Glad to hear it!
This video makes anyone seeing you want to adopt you. This is much more powerful than cruelty.
Good for you young Lady.
You remind me so much of my 29 yo daughter who moved from Australia to New Zealand to live her dream.
Life is beautiful … enjoy it !!!
All the very best from a very proud Aussie Veteran.
Aww thank you so much ❤️
Awesome, you already seem pretty active and confident, so I'm sure you'll have no problems at all.
I appreciate that! So far, so good :)
Life is about taking calculated risks and making this move is a really big risk. A lot don't take that chance and have a lot of what if's but you've said to heck with it and made the move. Well done. I'm sure with time you will adjust especially as you discover how different the country is just like the U.S. The weather's getting cooler now and you won't enjoy the Melbourne winter so find a spot in the sun in Cairns by June. There's plenty of backpackers there and you'll have a great time. Go out on the reef, see the rainforest and so much more...in your 20's, it's the best...
Thanks for the tips! I’ll be heading up towards Cairns and can’t wait to see even more of australia ☺️
Maddie please be grateful for your life!! No hate. I would love to do the stuff you do.
I am so grateful for the life I have and I know not everyone gets the same opportunities. I am incredibly thankful that it is even possible for me to go on this adventure!
I’m 31 and have the same question.. I’ve been abroad from the past 8 years..leaving in the UK and next month I’m also going alone to Australia.
You got this! Maybe I’ll see you in the land down under :)
Welcome mate, enjoy your stay!
Thanks, will do!
If you want to hold a large spider in Australia maybe go for a huntsman spider. They’re a decent size and non poisonous.
Noted!
Hey Maddie!
Can you give me some more insight on how to get the Visa and what was the cost of yours? What amount of months was your Visa good for? Thank you!
Which city are you going to? Some of the cities are expensive, you will find Australians usually very friendly and they do speak english(sort of). I would get a part time job and save to go on journeys. There are plenty of people whom have gone on the East Coast trek. In Melbourne and Sydney they have an organisation that helps you get established. Don't underestimate the distances, Australia is a vast place so traveling can take a long time. It is not a short bus trip to get anywhere. I am not sure how you chose Australia, if you used your method you can have put your finger on Ukraine and then what would you have done?
Thanks for the advice! I actually did end up going on a tour with a company that helped me get established and plan my next few months of travel! Then I plan on finding work after :)
Magic
Make sure you have insurance in case you dive in head-first and you become completely paralyzed because you hit your head diving in there are some scary bugs over there in Australia people that have grown up over there know what to avoid make sure you also know but bugs to avoid have fun enjoycs
Haha yep I have insurance!
The danger from Australian wildlife is grossly exaggerated. You'll be fine as long as you use common sense.
I'm two decades older than you. All I will say is you're doing the exactly right thing at exactly the right time because I also did a LOT of stuff in my 20s (I'm in my mid-40s now) and am really grateful I did it back then. You have more resilience, energy and opportunities when you're younger. It's more acceptable for you to do what you're doing at your age (there are more employment opportunities) than if you had waited until your 30s or even 40s. Some thing in life... you need to do whilst you're young.
You have a lot of life ahead of you and sorry to say you won't figure it out you'll be adapting and changing plans for the rest of your life. I subscribed as an Australian (born) I'm curious about your experience!
Thank you for the comforting words! I’ve realized that no one really knows what they’re doing and we’re all just trying to figure it out together and enjoy the ride 😌
Your so dramatic with your hypothetical getting stuck in Australia. Calm down
😅😅
Following you from Tassie .. you’ll be fine . Oz is pretty cool . Try n get down to Tassie if you get the chance . Lovely state
