Eating snacks from outside Starbucks is what locals do as well 😊 Gositel is also a cheap place to get one room for a short stay. I am amazed how Josh figured all this out beforehand 👍🏻 I always overpay in Korea, must learn from this guy 😊
I'm just shocked that you've even discovered the existance of gosiwon - It's actually a form of bare-minimum accomodation for young adults who are either cramming for an exam(hence the name 'gosi', Korean term for government-conducted exams) or have just moved out & can't afford a proper place yet.
I was utterly blown away by how affordable Korea was. I didn't go bare bones on anything while I was there and kept everything within a reasonable balance of budget friendly and "splugering" and I still spent a fraction of what I would spend here in the states.
Funny that! I need to go to Fargo for a weekend. I'm in montana, and we don't have an Aldi here. So road trip! Good to know I can park the car at the hotel and just take the bus!
@@lifeisgood7884 yeah! I’m located In Bismarck myself but I’m sure it wouldn’t be too different, Ik sure no less then 3.00. In Bismarck you can buy a monthly with unlimited rides for $25
If you think that's good go head to Busan it's even cheaper there. Actually I think Busan is sort of "better" than Seoul for my personal tastes. More nature nearby and beaches.
Tourism industry in my country mainly focus on foreigners visitors (mainly on China). More of us locals traveling to Thailand than our own country, Malaysia as it's a cheaper option. The costs of foods is normal though BUT the price of hotels, homestay, lodging etc. is too pricey for us. Malaysia is the foods heaven, not much for sceneries and activities.
It's a Gositel made for mostly unemployed or CSAT-retaking students living on limited money. More of a motel in a mixed-use building. Theu are cheap, but some of these places can be sus as hell.
This isn't NY or SF really. Not a lot of artisan coffee place. I personally just made my own coffee or went to PAIK’S COFFEE or Starbucks. Yeah there's a Blue Bottle there, but super expensive. Also some cold brew shops that isn't really cafes but more of "bring your own thermos and we will fill it up" places. Those are nice.
Bro how do you feel about that brent rivera kid stealing your video ideas, thumbnails, and scripts literally word by word? I personally don't care about that kid but I hope it doesn't let you down, keep creating my friend
The gositel is that cheap per night??? And you get your own bathroom?!?!? Dang for that price you can't even rent a room in a sharehouse here these days. For that price you'd even struggle to live in your car here actually with the price of petrol. I am in shock, what a steal!!
The speed and volume with which this guy is taking sounds like he’s having a manic episode or this is some early 90s infomercial selling plastic spoons for 19.95. Why is he speaking like this? Real travel shows are generally pretty relaxed.
Hmmm gotta work or have decent vacation pay, cause bet he could definitely make more money with doing actual work , definitely not hating on it of course
Obviously it was North Korea. You can tell because they only allow their citizens to eat "American" foods like hamburgers. Josh even had one of the pre-approved hair styles. (This is harmless sarcasm.)
Did I heard right? There's nothing vegetarian food in South korea? Even if it's veg salad they put fish oil in it? Just curious about vegetarian food. If I want travel korea some day😊
I live and work as an IT in Singqpore, USA, NZ and Australia. This total amount spend for the day is just about enough for your body size. Smaller body eats less so less spending a bit.
The minimum wage is 8 to 9 dollars.(9000-10000 Korean won) But it is a different story when you decide to buy a house. I wonder how things are going in other countries. Rent, housing etc
People don’t realise that in asia the norm that works from 9 to 5 is paid peanuts , some food may be cheaper , transport cheaper (for now) but the salaries way less
Damn 50 bucks for all that. The food looked super good and hotel wasn’t bad. Korea here I come.
