I’m surprised they already revealed half of the X rares considering how long we had to wait for them in set 4. Hopefully the other blue XR is for angels, assuming there is a second for blue.

Any idea how Smagg will interact with those multi-core reduction symbols? For instance, would 1 Smagg be able to satisfy a Purple, Yellow, and Red reduction symbol on one of these Spirits?

While smagg counts as many colors he still is just a one symbol spirit, so he would fill one of your choice.

The starter is only for the 01 deck. If you want to build 02/08 it’s all from the boosters

Any idea if the set will contain yellow or white cards? I don't remember seeing any in the reveal video they put out

Only red purple blue and green revealed so far

There will be Yellow cards featuring Rei Ayanami, but she'll be supporting Eva 01 mainly. As such, her unit, Eva 00, may also be featured as Yellow cards, or as White cards, due to her protective nature in the series.
As mentioned in the video, there will also be Green cards, but they'll be part of the Red WILLE (Eva 02) deck.
