This song only touch blinks who know all Blackpink story and all the hate they have suffered, like when people attacked Jennie for being "lazy" or when people threw hate and racist comments at Lisa just for being Thai. I feel like Reafe keeps expecting beat drop after beat drop and when it isn’t, it’s hard for him to like the song. Which is a bit narrow minded, in my personal opinion. Of course everyone is free to like/dislike whatever they feel like, but you can’t expect every single song to be a club banger every time. It’s great to explore slower tempos and deeper lyrics. Blackpink has given us SO MANY bangers throughout their career, one after another after another after another. It’s literally what they’re known for globally (!) so I’m very glad they got deep and personal in this album in many of the songs. They really spoke from the heart. I hope everyone appreciates that.

It honestly began to annoy me. I know people shouldn't be forced to like something. Everyone has their own style of music they like but when you have high expectations for every song, wanting it to sound like what only you want it to sound like it does get a bit narrow/close minded. Expecting a beat drop for every song like not all songs are meant to be like that. Blackpink has so many hits, bangers that it's only right for them to want to have more emotional songs. The same thing happens with the Pretty Savage dance video they reacted to. They both wanted it to be more energetic, like don't they have enough dance choreo's like that? I never have a problem with what Blackpink puts out. They are the only artists personally for me who can put out literally anything and I'd love it.

Kill This Love was not that bad of an era as people made it seem, “Kick it” was the song with the fairest line distribution and it was really good, and “Hope not” showcased their vocals like “Stay”. The fact that some of their dance practice have more views than “Stay” shows how people only pay attention to their popular songs like D4 or KTL. “You never know” also made their vocals shine and it was a very good closing to the album. But like always, people are paying more attention to more ‘upbeat’ songs like Pretty Savage and Bet You Wanna and overlooking the masterpiece that You Never Know is.
joyful_07 yeah! Honestly I liked KTL, more then HYLT... the b-side songs in the album were honestly amazing and Hope Not was a beautiful ending that showcased all their vocals (including Lisa)... I feel like YG doesn’t do a lot of softer songs because much of Blackpink’s popularity/views come from their more ‘upbeat’ some with the beat drops like KTL, HYLT, D4. Which is sad to me because so many people misunderstand Blackpink concept/discography from their one title track :/ Forever Young and See You Later are two different songs for instance.

True Blinks know just how personal and vulnerable this song really is to them. They've gotten so many hate comments, including death treats through out the years. It's their way to tell us that they've seen those hurtful comments.However they will still soar and continue with their dream inspite the pain that they feel. If you don't get that, you don't really see them.
Not every song has to be upbeat with big drops to be feel heavy. I won't lie, I shed a few tears when I heard this one. It's ok to just like their bangers. You don't have to like every song. Some people only see them as K-pop artists. Some also see them for the beautiful human beings that they are. They deserve better.

this song touched me the most. 4 years of being with blackpink is a roller coaster ride. it was tough bc of all the hate that has been thrown to them constantly and the times when i defended the girls and got hated bc of my act. but all of it was cut into pieces just bc of blackpink. aside from my family and friends, they were the ones who gave me comfort and happiness during my alone times and even when they disband, ill be eternally grateful that there was blackpink. that they somehow brightened up my teenage life.
