  • We are finally back with some new "On the Record" content! Please know that we took all advised precautions with regard to COVID-19 while preparing, quarantining, and conducting this interview.
That said, I was honored to sit down with Grammy Award winning guitarist Redd Volkaert. For anyone who needs a bit of context, Redd recently relocated from his longtime home in Austin, Texas to a new, beautiful piece of property in Virginia. If you would like to read more about this, or keep up with Redd, we suggest you follow him on Facebook ( / reddvolkaertmusic ) and check out his website (reddvolkaert.com/).
Thank you so much for watching, and we hope you consider subscribing to this page for more content like this!

Once upon a time, Redd sat in on a show I was hired to play on in Austin. Redd, a drummer, my Bass, and 12 Pedal Steel Players; each one taking a solo after the other going 'round robin. It was a surreal experience and one of the musical highlights of my life. The musicianship in the place was absolutely staggering.

Oh Sh1t! I was going to watch old Redd until this guy came on with a mask on. How uncool is it to believe propaganda! Won't support Cody.
