25:08 LĂłpez said, in broken Spanish: "Dumbass! I was fixing the engine!"
Oh đ
@@Rykage_ Yea, basically he was in the process of working on the engine when Grif tried turning it on, getting him stuck in it. XD
Carolina using the bubble shield on top of the ship is such a nice callback to North in season 9
As Church brings up when she wakes up.
I think Carolina using the bubble shield is not just a callback, but a sign of how far she's come. When she entered the gateway, the vision traumatised her, and for a few episodes now we've been seeing flashes of the "old" Carolina: abrasive, impatient, competitive. When she admits to Church that it's because she doesn't want to lose another family, though, she puts a stop to that regression and starts growing again.
And here she is now, emulating North - the most compassionate and loving guy on Freelancer - to keep her found family safe. She started out as a killing machine, now she's a protector.
Just one of the many reasons why season 13 is one of my favourite instances of writing in any show. I'm saving a comment on Felix and Locus for later on.
RIP Doyle. Never forgotten.
Also, mate, I'd love to thank you for this fantastic react series. Not too many creators watch RvB these days, and yours is absolutely fantastic.
Yeah she really has came a long way, wasnât her biggest fan at the beginning but sheâs really grown on me over the seasons đ„
And thanks man! I really appreciate that đđđŒ
Beginning of the end....
Next few episodes tie everything nicely, you'll like to hear Kimball's words on that death
Also, 26:51 âsomethingâs gotten into you. AND IM GONNA RIP IT OUTâ is such a RAW line like omg the writing is top notch
I love Doyle so much. That sacrifice hits me every time.
You have to call Felix "Frank" for the rest of this show, it'd be so much funnier.
Doyle, the most cowardly of all the characters in this trilogy, possibly ended up with a bigger body count than even Carolina.
Also, I'm so eagerly awaiting your reaction to this seasons finale.
The Reds and Blues accidentally sending you to another dimension, forgetting about you, and then stumbling upon you by chance to rescue you is actually pretty on brand for them.
I love the building of the background music as the Counsellor is talking about the Meta with Locus, more and more and more... Up until it totally cuts out with the line: "Is there anything else you would like to know?" It gives such a powerful implication.
I love how Doyle, when he thinks about things, he gets very introspective.
"Chorus still needs you Miss Kimball. So when you die, you better be damn sure those you leave behind can carry on without you. I know I am. This is General Donald Doyle, signing off."
36:43 - This directly parallel's North's use of the Bubble shield in Season 9/10 where he uses the bubble to protect 479er's pelican and the others during their escape. (though of course, he just blocked the missiles, here Carolina protected the entire pelican.) Interestingly, immediately after she wakes up, it's Theta - North's AI, that Epsilon wakes up to.
For the final episode, get ready. The ending is absolutely incredible, often seen as the greatest ending of all the seasons. You'll understand why I say that. I have faith you'll make it a good one.
I believe that when Carolina was telling Epsilon about what she saw and she stopped at Caboose because how he was killed was too much for her.
Doyle proves he was the most courageous person imaginable. Your courage will forever be a symbol that even the most cowardly people can be heroes. o7 General Donald Doyle your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
25:06 that line.. coming from Donut.. come on.
Rip Doyle
Glad I caught up again in time for the rest of S13
so far as the buffering issues are concerned, it might be worth just pausing for about 10 or so seconds to let it catch up, like how we used to have to in the old days of sluggish early broadband internet connections. It's annoying to have to do in 2024, but it might spare you the headache of the frequent interruptions.
Back in the day of having AOL internet đ
It was a nice circus...
Almost to season 14, my favorite to watch people react to
I believe the moustache bartender you were referring to was Lincoln smith
That it was! đ„
âAsgard is not a place. Never was. This could be Asgard. Asgard is where our people stand.â -Odin
The only quote I remember that resembles that butchery you managed.
That is the correct quote. You've done everyone a service đ
I'll be that guy. Friends was mid at best.
Carolinas trial was definitely the most fucked up one.
The quote is actually from Mark Twain, not Shakespeare, though there's lots of quotes that are slightly different from people as far as Nelson Mandela to Franklin Roosevelt
The "it was a nice circus" implys that its true, which also means that Sister's old line of "You know how circus's have a bearded lady and a fat lady? Well our mom was so talented that she was both" Is also probably true. Not to kink shame, but the fact people were paying to "turn tricks" with that is really disturbing.
The psychology behind freelancers downfall and the metas goals here are fascinating. Its the idea that teamwork is more important than skill, and its applied in military special forces too. Ex mariens have said that they would rather have an average performer that works well with them than a high performer who is an asshole. Its why their team fell apart, they didn't trust each other and sw themselves as cometetors rather than teammates, which led to them sabatoging each other and the whole program for their own personal gain.
The Meta is even better, because while we see Sigma mention their goal once or twice, once the Meta was formed, we only ever see it as a raging monster, when in reality, it just wanted to be a person, but it needed to hurt people to get even close to that goal. As an aside to that, I love the detail that even after 5 shotgun blasts, several stabs from Wash, the entire fight with Tex, and tucker stabbing him in the chest, he was still going strong. The thing that killed him was drowning. Makes sense with what we saw in season 10 with him being shot like 9 times in the throat, getting up and continuing the mission, guy was a badass with an ironclad will.
We didn't get to hear it from Price, but I'd like to hear your theory. What do you think Felix is afraid of?
I love the fact that Doyle genuinely admires Kimball. It puts such a monkey wrench in their opposition and leads to some great growth with both of them arguing over which gets to die to save the other.
I think the pirates may have heard the several gunshots moreso than the shout of "got him" xD
As RWBY Chibi says "Nothing bad EVER HAPPENED..... EEEEEVVVVEEEERRRR"
Courage is not the absence of fear, but acting in spite of it. Doyle was a weasly little fearful man, a secretary forced into a position of leadership when all his superiors fled or died, but he had courage is droves.
The bubble shield was a trick she learned from North. Only had a .01% chance of success according to delta, but they both pulled it off.
The show was too quiet in this one. It is good to have your audio to be louder then the shows but the show should be louder then a whisper.
Sorry about that, I keep the settings the same so I donât know why some videos are louder than others đ
