He was genuine. I heard he actually tried to push through most of what he promised, but the Democrats had a Stranglehold on the state congress. So after constant blocking and being worn down by the constant negative California press, he eventually started to govern more like the typical California Dem governor, unfortunately. And nowadays he's completely lost touch.
CA need to rethink their spending habits. There are many CA folks leaving there because of living expenses. Make it affordable to live and you wont see more tent cities.
I was born in 2002. Really wish we could have voted out Newsom and had our first black governor but democrats were to racist to let that happen. Did you see how many hate crimes happend to Larry?

He also doesn't believe in climate change (the science is settled on this), opposes the existence of a minimum wage, and has said welfare is worse for black people than slavery was. I honestly don't remember what he accomplished as governor. It kind of feels like nothing really happened. I only became old enough to vote when he ran for a second term. The competition with Phil angelidas was so uninspiring and not impressive at all and It was an easy choice to vote for Arnold Schwarzenegger because I didn't care about the competition. I think Jerry West may had been the better choice but he had lost Democrat nominee to Phil Angelidas
